Whatcha gonna do when they come for you

This decision allows the Manhattan D.A.'s office to subpoena eight years of the president’s personal and corporate tax returns.

The Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., has been investigating whether any New York State laws were broken when Mr. Trump and his company reimbursed the president’s former lawyer and fixer, Michael D. Cohen, for payments he made in the run-up to the 2016 election to the pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels, who had said she had an affair with Mr. Trump.

The president's lawyers have called the investigation by Mr. Vance, a Democrat, politically motivated.Mr. Vance has accused the president and his team of trying to run out the clock on the investigation.

In his 75-page ruling, Judge Marrero called the President's legal argument "repugnant to the nation's governmental structure and constitutional values," adding that Presidents, their families, and businesses are not above the law."

This will be appealed up to the Supreme Court, and they will take the case.

I'm sure he had the brightest of the brightest CPA's doing his financials. There shouldn't be an issue

The issue is that there is no obligation to show your tax returns to satisfy an opponent's political purposes, which is all this is. If he paid Daniels "go away" money, it's perfectly legal. Businesses do it every day.

LOL, Not so fast Eddie....

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

"A federal appeals court granted President Donald Trump a last-minute reprieve in his effort to block a New York subpoena for his tax records, delaying a federal judge’s ruling from taking effect that would have forced his accounting firm to hand the records to the Manhattan district attorney beginning Monday afternoon.

The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York granted an emergency stay, after U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero earlier in the day rejected Trump’s request for an injunction blocking the subpoena for the records. Trump asserted broad claims of presidential immunity from criminal investigation, extending to his company and business associates as well. But the judge found the assertion overly broad and dismissed Trump’s argument, saying it “would constitute an overreach of executive power.

A less senile person might ask themselves why the IRS with their partisan operatives hadn't/haven't nailed him as they did Capone and countless others.

Once again, there's no there there.
