Judge Imposes Gag On Trump In Manhattan Criminal Trial.

If "the Judge" considers it a threat then it is an illegal threat. Quit being emotional and weepy, Weather53.

Wrong.
A judge cannot rule something is illegal.
Something is not illegal until another impartial court case comes down with a guilty verdict.
This is not a dictatorship and judges do not dictate law.
All a judge can do is regulate the conduct in his courtroom.
They can NOT control and dictate what happens outside of the courtroom.
If the judge feels threatened by what Trump is saying, then he has to talk a prosecutor into pressing charges over it. Which he not only has not done, but clearly would never be able to do, since Trump said nothing threatening.

Does not matter.

The gag order is still illegal.
In general, courts have held that gagging people involved in trials is more acceptable than similar orders issued against the press. Gag orders against people involved in the case is often necessary to maintain the integrity of the judicial process. The goal is a fair trial for everyone involved. You can study more about it here. On appeal, they had narrowed on of the gag orders before. They always weigh free speech rights with the need to protect a fair trial.

The Judge, of course, can consider and use threats from outside his courtroom to punish activity aimed to interrupt a court's course.
