At The Gun Range

In Cali we would shoot in a mountain ravine/valley for the same reasons.
In the Sierras, Cascades, Sawtooth and etc you can use higher powered rifles (and kinda need to). Around here my Dad was disappointed to find out his were all too powerful to shoot around here. (30-06) he needs a 45 or something.

Ahhh well.

Now I drive to the public hunting grounds where I hunt to do some off season shooting. There are shooting clubs closer but I'm kind of a loner.

Well, having someone judge your targets after shooting is daunting.

I've seen guys come in with suitcases full of magazines for their guns and super tight groupings....they are a bit intimidating.

Mine are all over the place....but I'm not a pro. Just a hack who gets out nowhere near enough.

I have a growing cataract in my sighting eye, so my accuracy has suffered. Gotta get it taken care of. :(

I enjoy guns and shooting but it's generally not a social practice for me. I'll find a safe place out in the woods with a nice backstop and go through a few magazines and then leave. I have gone to the regular State pistol range from time to time but I don't really enjoy being in there with a bunch of people.

If they kill the transfer tax, I'm going to get an 8" 300BLK barrel and a suppressor for my AR pistol.
It's fine in 5.56 (10.5" and a blast can) but the BLK/suppressor will let me use it for home defense.

Last I saw, they were NOT killing it.

I hate the angle of the magazine on AR9s - the longer it is, the worse it looks.
So.. I bought an AK-V.

My son was placing an order and hooked me up. 720 rounds worth.
I’m really gonna have to stock up on 9mm ( since my Retro A2 AR15 9mm that takes Glock mags worked so well and was a hoot to shoot )
