Are Trump supporters okay with this?

The thread has reached full insanity....we are now to we don't lie your side does and vice versa. We also have Fox News being a reputable news source. Signs that insanity has now taken over. Loyalty to party over reality. Typical.
MAGA
I LOVE it!!!

It has often been observed that one of President Trump’s biggest allies in the impeachment battle is Fox News — that if Richard Nixon had enjoyed the benefit of such a powerful purveyor of propaganda, he wouldn’t have been driven from office.

You could not ask for a clearer indication of this than the interview that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just gave to Sean Hannity about Trump’s coming trial.

The interview showcases how Trump’s propagandists have succeeded in creating a universe that is as hermetically sealed off from this scandal’s widely and firmly established set of facts as one half of a divided cell is from the other.

In this universe, it’s simultaneously the case that everything Trump said on his corrupt call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was absolutely fine and that the key elements of Trump’s pressure on Zelensky simply never happened.

And in this universe, it’s not just fully understood that Trump’s acquittal is assured in advance and that the trial will be gamed to Trump’s maximum benefit. It’s also understood that this is how it should be. Indeed, the interview appears designed to reassure audiences of all this.

That was plainly evident in McConnell’s quotes about how this process will unfold. As McConnell said:

"Everything I do during this, I’m coordinating with the White House counsel. There will be no difference between the president’s position and our position as to how to handle this.
McConnell also said:

We’ll be working through this process ... in total coordination with the White House counsel’s office and the people representing the president in the well of the Senate."

Many have sharply criticized McConnell for telegraphing that the trial will be gamed in advance to assure Trump’s acquittal and to make it as politically painless as possible.

That’s true, but it’s worse than this. Note that Hannity treated this not just as utterly unremarkable, but as how things ought to be.

There were a lot of accusations made by Repubs that the House impeachment inquiry was a sham. It wasn't. Repubs could attend closed door depositions, ask questions, the transcripts were released to the public, an invitation was extended to Trump to have counsel present at the Judiciary Committee hearings, Repubs were able to call witnesses with pertinent info to offer on the matter at hand, etc.

Mitch McTreason on the other hand is being quite transparent about allowing the WH to orchestrate the Senate "trial." Which is tantamount to allowing an accused party to control how a court proceeds in their prosecution. Is McTurtle so cynical as to think rank and file Repubs will not have a problem with him making a mockery of the Senate proceeding? Yes! And well he should be since it isn't only Senate Repubs who are in the tank for Individual 1...........the whole party is!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since when does the accused get to participate in how the case will be prosecuted?

So much for the independence of Congress

Hillary, she is the one.

Couple key points FOX is one news outlet how many are there that are anti Trump CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC NY Times, Washington Post and numerous other papers to suggest FOX news is somehow saving Trump from impeachment is laughable. Sean Hannity is not a journalist and has never claimed to be is a conservative talk show host Republicans go on his show for an easy interview just like Democrats go on Don Lemon show on CNN or Racheal Maddows on MSNBC for them. Last Democrats have been calling for Trumps impeachment since he was sworn in Al Green of Texas has ben calling for impeachment and bring articles up that went nowhere for over two years and we all remember Rashida Tlaibs were going to go there and impeach the mother fucker comment which she made in January of this year all of this before the Ukraine phone call. The Democrats had already decided Trump was guilty of some impeachable offense as early as January 20th 2017.

How do you answer a totally political sham, with another totally political sham. You commies set the rules, so don't blame the players. LMAO

.
What sham?

"There were a lot of accusations made by Repubs that the House impeachment inquiry was a sham. It wasn't. Repubs could attend closed door depositions, ask questions, the transcripts were released to the public, an invitation was extended to Trump to have counsel present at the Judiciary Committee hearings, Repubs were able to call witnesses with pertinent info to offer on the matter at hand, etc."

You're nothing but a fucking liar. shitt blocked witnesses form answering republican questions and never allowed republicans to call witnesses. There were no hearings in the judiciary, the 4 lawyers they had were not fact witnesses. Both shitt and noballs violated house rules by refusing a minority hearing day. All votes in both sham hearings were along party lines. The only bipartisan vote to date was to not move ahead. And there will be two more bipartisan votes, the first will be not to advance the articles to the senate, and a vote to acquit in the senate. Yeah, it's a totally political sham intended to do nothing but try effect the 2020 election. It will backfire on you commies.

.
Putting aside that your post is a steaming pile of dung let me ask you this. What witnesses THAT WERE PERTINENT TO THE IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY were Repubs prevented from calling to testify?

In case you hadn't noticed, none of the process complaints made by the whiny bitches you call Repubs in any way address the substance of the charges against Trump. But they have succeeded in influencing the weak minded folks like yourself in to complaining about the process of the inquiry................WHILE MITCH MCTREASON HAS OPENLY STATED AS THE METAPHORICAL FOREMAN OF THE JURY IN THE SENATE TRIAL HE IS WORKING HAND IN GLOVE WITH THE DEFENSE ATTORNEYS.

Thanks for admitting you can't refute anything I said.

As for witnesses, we could start with the fake whistle blower and the half dozen people that possibly violated the espionage act by talking to him. You'd think the intel committee would be interested in knowing if they did, aren't they supposed to be concerned with national security? The second one would be the individual that wrote about Ukraine interference in the 2016 election for Politico. You never know where those two would take you, that's why it's called an investigation. Also why won't shitt release all the transcripts from the star chamber?

As for the coordination with the WH, I have zero problems with it, the commies did the exact same thing when Clinton was impeached, so stop crying about the precedent you commies set.

.

I’m voting for Don again in 20.

So this............. you voted for a guy who solicited the help of Russia in the 2016 election, paid two women hush money so voters would not find out about his adulterous sexual affairs in violation of campaign finance law, had to shut down his real estate school and his charitable foundation due to fraud and theft respectively, tells lies all the time, admitted on tape to being a pussy grabber, based the early stages of his campaign on a race based lie about the then sitting prez (a lie he eventually retracted), began his presidency by lying about the size of the inauguration crowd, routinely makes bigoted comments about racial and religious minorities, etc., etc....................................
has no effect on your thinking?

I wouldn't go around bragging about being a dolt if I were you.

Are these more of your dim “facts” that don’t exist for the smear campaign? Just keep saying them over and over, and saying they are facts. Obstruction, collusion, bribery, quid pro quo, cultism, are now abuse of power this week. NO criminal charges, but now he IS going to manipulate the 2020 election? Vastly different than DNA bill cliton, who lost his license to practice law, and had to pay $800k in damages to one of his victims. Who is best friends with child molesters, and dresses in drag for fun? How sad for you, Mr. Berg!

"Everything I do during this, I’m coordinating with the White House counsel.

Thats the exact same thing Senate Democrats did during the Clinton impeachment you stupid fucking half-wit.

The BIGGER issue is that the House impeachment is a fraud, based on lies, based on Nazi show trials, and no crime has been identified. IT IS THE HOUSE THAT IS COMMITTING THE UNETHICAL ACTS, not Mitch McConnell.

Once again your have proven yourself to be a dimwitted imbecile who would so himself a favor by keeping his big cock sucker shut.

What's the problem?
You obviously don't know how this works.
The democrat house managers will present their case for each charge.
McConnell will then allow the President's legal team to present a defense if they want. They don't have to.

What McConnell is referring to is whether additional witnesses will be called by members of the Senate. He is leaving that up to the WH defense.

Again, what's the problem?
This should be hilarious since they don't have a case.
