CDZ Apps vs Browsers?

Generally I am predisposed to think a simple newspaper, message board or most other websites should work in a browser and apps are just for data mining.

It isn't like Google doesn't data mine me to death one cookie at a time though.

Why when I could use beautiful boards on my ancient Galaxy S or Windows 95 PC not to mention new equipment should they move to being app based?

??? I don't know what you aim to discuss. Websites do work in browsers.
