You’re talking about two different things: 1.) the questionable reasons for the war and 2.) facilitating the extraction of foreign oil.

I was responding to your comment that suggested that leasing tools and equipment to foreign companies to extract their oil is questionable.

Halliburton and other companies have probably been doing this for decades and is perfectly legal. As for the war and everything else, you’re probably right about all of it.

I've heard that a lot and it just isn't true.

1. Most every nation involved in the UN decision to attack Iraq agreed on the threat of WMD.
2. WMD were eventually found shortly after the peak phase of the war--- Saddam had given what he had left leftover from his attacks on the Kurds and gave it all to Muammar Gaddafi who buried it all in the deep desert to hide and protect it out somewhere between Iraq and Libya.
3. When they finally found and dug it all up, tests showed that the stuff was degraded from age and probably not all that good anymore, but the UN had no way of knowing that until they found it.
