I think it's not so much flip-flopping with Iran, but trying to preserve as much of Iran as he can for the people's sake while taking down the oppressive dictators. And he's right. He can just starve the regime out.

Does Trump frustrate me?
Of course.
He lashes out far too much for a President although, as you said, given how shabbily he's been treated and all the lies about him that have been spread, I wouldn't blame him for his wicked tongue. But he creates controversies that are unnecessary.
As for Iran, I think he did the right thing after President pretty much ignored the threat by one of the world's greatest terrorist outlaw regimes.
He needs to wrap up the conflict, get a guarantee that Iran can never go nuclear and he needs to get gas prices down. PRONTO.
Yes, they're a temporary inconvenience but inflation has not slowed in some areas and gas prices contribute mightily. The average American is NOT happy paying $4.00 - $5.00 a gallon.
In most areas, however, I'm in complete agreement with him.
He's so much smarter than anybody on the other side. And he's genuinely funny. I think he's the most underrated President in modern history.
