It’s actually a pretty deep down legitimate concern regarding our very form of government:

If a court thinks it can “stay” Presidential decisions when the court is exercising a thin claim of “equitable jurisdiction,” then what would stop the Courts from acting as an unelected President? Doesn’t this constitute a threat to our Constitutional form of government?

Jefferson warned us about the judiciary, and in that vein he described the Judiciary as “the tyrannical branch.” We have a Constitution which separates the three branches for a lot of great reasons.

So why would it be wrong if Bove did say that? Can’t you conceive of a scenario where any President and Administration might actually need to consider it?

A top official at the Justice Department told subordinates they would need to consider ignoring court orders the day before the administration carried out deportations under the Alien Enemies Act, according to a department whistleblower.

In a letter sent to Congress by his attorneys, Erez Reuveni said he and others were told by Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove in very blunt terms that they might have to defy court orders.

Bove told attendees of the March 14 meeting that President Donald Trump would soon be invoking the Alien Enemies Act and that deportations would be carried out that weekend.

"Bove indicated these removals were a priority for the administration and stressed to all in attendance that the planes needed to take off no matter what," according to the letter from Reuveni's attorneys at the Government Accountability Project. A copy of the letter, which was first reported on by The New York Times, was obtained by NBC News.

"Bove then made a remark concerning the possibility that a court order would enjoin those removals before they could be effectuated. Bove stated that DOJ would need to consider telling the courts 'f--- you' and ignore any such court order," according to the letter.

We all know who Bove is, right? trump's former defense attorney who was involved in the purge of DoJ and FBI officials who were part of the criminal investigations in to Don.

Therefore, any adverse employment action, including removal, must respect all required standard procedural and substantive due process protections,” attorneys wrote in a letter to Emil Bove, a former Trump defense attorney who is now the DOJ’s acting deputy attorney general.

The question I would ask before the replies of "just a disgruntled guy seeking revenge" come in from defenders of all things Don is.......does what the whistleblower is alleging sound credible? Given all we know, especially considering court orders were in fact ignored and Bove has shown himself to be a loyalist supreme, should what Reuveni has alleged be taken seriously?

Moreover, and this should go without saying, what does it say about trump that he would nominate someone like Bove, a man credibly accused of recommending that court orders be ignored, to the federal bench?

Assuming an anonymous whistleblower is telling the unvarnished truth . . .

All scenarios would need to be considered. Courts are not assisted suicide counselors.
