One more presumptuous goon who believes the badge places him above the Law. This vainglorious, egotistical bully has cost the taxpayers millions as the result of the inevitable lawsuit, the cost of replacing him, the cost of routine legal procedures, the cost of defending in the civil trial, the cost of prosecuting this self-styled cossack and imprisoning him for four years.
All of the above was wholly unnecessary and all of it could have been avoided if his supervisors had made a point of reminding their subordinates from time to time that they are what they are -- not what they'd like to be.
The video of this incident, along with many others, should be compiled into a training exercise for use by all American police agencies. It ultimately would result in saving the taxpayers an enormous amount of money and discourage a lot of potentially good cops from developing bad habits.
