And here comes Fall...

My favorite time of year, especially here in New England.

I love it for the weather, perfect for riding the bike. The colors here in CO are boring though. Until I was in the Navy and stationed in the East I had no idea why people loved the "colors" of autumn, the only color that is prevalent here is yellow...

The most gorgeous time of the year! I love the cool-down, hate the summer heat. The sun is at a lower angle, and the light just sparkles. Soybean fields are a plush gold carpet under the blue skies. We have some fabulous neon orange sugar maples in our neighborhood. We always take a couple camping trips this time of year, make caramel apples (with peanuts), and apple pies. Fresh cider from the orchard, not pasteurized, it's SO sweet! Plus, my birthday is in the Fall. The only thing I hate is daylight savings!

My favorite season of the year, too. I love the turning of the leaves; hiking in the state parks; roasting marshmallows over a campfire on a clear, cool, starlit night; warm days and cool evenings; the relatively quiet after the hubbub of summer; going out in the woods to look for hickory nuts and persimmons; football games and tailgate parties. The only bad thing about fall is what follows. I really hate Midwestern winters.

Apples and pomegrantes. Comfy sweaters and no re-runs.

the most gorgeous time of year is the spring. with it comes life and the end of death from winter. fall is ok but it leads to winter and on the north east coast that is not a good thing.

I agree with you that spring is a gorgeous time of the year. It is where I live anyway. In the spring our community is bursting with flowering trees, flowering shrubs and flowers galore. We moved to the southern part of Indiana from the northern part--where there is nothing like that--and I thought I was in a wonderland that first spring in southern Indiana. Not only is spring beautiful, but it energizes you. It does have its pluses, but I still love autumn best.

Autumn is not the season of death... it's the party after the day's work is done! Just look at the confetti!

Won't be any change here, save perhaps a minute decrease in average temperature.

It's always summer. At this point, season of death, season of life, who cars, seasonal change would be nice.

Edit: And your wife's cute, D.

For colors I have to call it a tie.

Fall colors cannot be beat, but in North Carolina and Virginia,
especially in the mountains, there are 1-2 weeks in April when
the Dogwood (white blossoms) and the Redbud (light purple)
bloom together against the green background of the rest of
the forest, and that is something everyone should see sometime
in their lives.

Fall colors here are also beautiful, although while here we have
yellow and orange, we lack the red seen further north, which is
provided I believe by maples.
