Repeating the question ... where is the this "top of atmosphere" you claim is "containing" the gas molecules? ... and you have to show this prevents any change in volume ...

Surprisingly ... pressure cookers are good for cooking things at higher pressure ... but they have to be sealed or it won't build up that pressure ... I know that's not an issue with bomb-making but it does matter if we're cooking things ... you need to explain how the atmosphere has a sealed lid that will hold in pressure ... because without the lid and seal, volume increases, pressure remains constant ... at an AVERAGE of 1013 mb at the surface ... aloft, pressure follows the gravity gradient (which is never zero) ...
