Took 63 yers but they did it.

With Rosa Parks Day, Alabama moves toward recognition of its true heroes

Good to see.

You'd think this is something conservatives would celebrate. She stood up against the oppressive forces of big government.

Rosa Parks was the central figure in a fraudulent, staged Civil Rights event.

She was never in danger, and isn't a Hero. ....
Black civil rights workers were being lunched throughout the South

Standing up and launching a boycott put her life at risk

Negroes needed to know their place. Rosa Parks did not

Civil Rights protesters were American Patriots fighting for freedom

The south needs to move away from celebrating a despicable Confederacy to celebrating it true patriots

Those who fought for Civil Rights

Another young black woman refused to give up her seat and few months before Rosa Parks staged event and was arrested.

But since she was thought to be pregnant and was unmarried, the Civil Rights leadership didn't think the teenage girl fit the image the public image the organization wanted to present.

So they hand picked the ringer Rosa Parks, who was the secretary NAACP's local chapter, to be the poster child for the Montgomery bus boycott. ...

So?

Many blacks resisted and were arrested

It was Parks who put her neck out and became the face of the movement. Given the terrorism that was gripping the south, she and her family could have been killed

The south needs to move away from its glorification of the confederacy and glorify its civil rights fighters

I love that Rosa was recognized but she wasnt the first to stand up to racism on the buses. This young lady was the first. Claudette Clovin

Before Rosa Parks, There Was Claudette Colvin

I’m sure there were many blacks who resisted Jim Crow laws and were either beaten up or arrested

Only Rosa Parks started a movement. Doesn’t negate the sacrifices others made
