Ahmaud Arbery sentencing.

a convicted criminal on probation who had recently been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, a mental disease that can cause psychotic episodes, bizarrely attacked Travis and grabbed his shotgun.

Couple of things:
1) if he was all those things, all the more reason not to approach him, follow him at a distance and call the cops
2) if he was all those things and had psychotic episodes why do you think it bizarre he grabbed the gun?

Travis McMichael - Life in prison without parole plus 20 years

Greg McMichael - Life in prison without parole plus 20 years

William "Roddie" Bryan - Life in prison with the possibility of parole

Seems about right to me. All 3 will likely live out their lives in prison.

Maybe, just maybe, this will make the next group think twice about these types of actions .

Whatever they get will not be justice as the system that covered for them isn't getting sentenced.

Three ignorant, Trumphumpers removed from society.

I'm good.

They were obviously only found guilty because of jury intimidation, judicial malfeasance, and malicious prosecution.

The video proves that they are totally innocent political prisoners.

Actually, you’re wrong. The video shows they committed murder. Context is everything.

It is why I keep saying that you have to understand Georgia Law when I discuss this particular case. Georgia Law is pretty simple.

Let’s say that the McMichael’s were in their garage and Arbury came up and attacked them. They shot him and that would be the end of it. They were minding their own business when the situation happened. Georgia Law would be on their side 100%.

Hell, nobody charged the woman in the video I posted a dozen time. She shot at three people in her house. Nobody charged her with disturbing the peace.

If they were in public and Arbury came up and assaulted them, for no reason, then chances are nobody would have thought twice about charging them.

But that wasn’t the case. They chased him down. He had committed not crime. They rammed him with their trucks and threatened to kill him. They had no legal justification for doing so. Georgia Law was a bet your life move on the Citizens Arrest. If you were not authorized, or you were wrong, you went to jail, not the person you were arresting.

They were not justified, they were not authorized, and they are the ones going to jail.

Yeah but he was the ring leader. The guy who took the video had no intention of killing anybody. Did he aid and abet the pursuing? Sure. Does he deserve some time in prison? hhhmmm..possibly. But 30 years? No, that's not justice. That's just spite. The shooter deserves a long time in prison - again, without parole is too harsh IMO. His dad deserves some time as well. Intent has a big play on this IMO.
If that's what the law requires for having been convicted, then that's not spite, that's simply what the law requires.

This path that he's on could have been avoided had they not believed they had the right to chase down another man and attempt to force him to talk to them. They're the screw-ups, not the law as written, imo.

And of course you are ignoring the fact that there was juror intimidation, dumbass.

You simply believed the fake news narrative, rather than the actual video evidence, because of you are very suggestible.

Insanity on your point doesn’t prove anything.

Here is the problem. The law actually prohibits pretty much every thing they did on that day.

They saw someone running. They had no information that he had committed any crime. He was just “in the area” where he didn’t belong. Unfortunately, public roads are open to all the public.

They armed up and set off in pursuit. Stupid and illegal. The charge is Aggravated Assault in Georgia.

They tried to ram him off the road. Assault with a vehicle. Aggravated Assault.

They shouted at him to stop or they would blow his fucking head off. Aggravated assault since they were armed.

They set up a roadblock to stop him. Travis raises his shotgun and Arbery shifts right. Travis sets off to cut him off with the shotgun. Aggravated Assault and attempted murder for pointing the gun at Arbery.

These are the laws. These are the laws of Georgia. They didn’t create the law. They discussed the precedents during the sentencing, during the trial, and during the preliminary hearings. You didn’t hear any of that. You didn’t want to.

All you wanted to hear was it was OK to kill a black guy.

Facts.

I believe going into houses that aren’t yours is a crime.

Not really in Georgia. But hey, don’t let actual Georgia Law affect your argument. Besides, the McMichaels had no idea if he had been in the house our not. They just saw him jogging and set off in armed pursuit of the black guy.
