SNAP fraud by individuals is 1%, they are not the problem. The govt agency needs reform, with their own systems to check for systematic fraud....more of their own deep dive of the checks and balances in place is needed.

States vary but they fall in to every 6 months, or 12 months or 24 months.... SNAP recipients RECERTIFY....the 24 months is for senior citizens to reapply/recertify which is less often.

So you have no problem with requiring all of them to prove they qualify now.

If someone applied last month or recertified last month then it is crazy and a waste of govt money and employees to recertify again a month later....everyone recertifying at once is bound to cause overload problems and mistakes with chaos...not enough workers to handle it, causing back log of SNAP benefits needed.

We need to work smartly and efficiently...Not the typical inefficient Trump Bull in a China Shop approach...which always ends up costing us more.

SNAP should not cover cigarettes, alcohol, soda pop, candy, doughnuts, pies, cakes & other trash.

No Democrat should ever go against enforcement of SNAP to prevent purchase of items they already tout as unhealthy. The Democrats support taxing of tobacco, alcohol, snacks and sugar….. so why would they approve tax dollars going to pay for these items?

Also, if SNAP recipients are able to hit hair, nail, and tanning salons regularly, that’s a big problem.
