Bottom line, The Trump/Pence team is handling this virus attack as well as anyone could possibly handle it.
That is far from clear. We won’t know this with any certainty for a long time.
One thing that is for certain, Trump’s attempts to downplay the risk early on were clearly misguided.
One could say misguided. But you could also claim that leaders like Churchill were misguided when he kept saying that the U.K. would persevere. You could say that JFK was misguided when he claimed we would go to the moon.
Should Churchill have told them that we can't win?
Should JFK have said we have no real idea how to get to the moon because we have never done it and we don't have the technology?
If Churchill had said the Nazis are totally under control as they marched into Paris, he would have been thrown out of office immediately.
there is a difference between optimism and lying. Trump is optimistic, as he should be, so am I and most americans. the lefties on CNN and Ny times are lying to you, all day every day. They are the enemy of the USA because they want us to fail.
If you want America to fail, elect a reality TV-star with a history of bankruptcies, lawsuits, fraud settlements, hush money agreements, and divorces. If he inherits a good economy, things should be okay until a crisis happens.
Oops.
or we could elect an incompetent liar from Kenya who is gay and married to a tranny and has two kids that he bought. A corrupt america-hating racist who had never accomplished anything in his miserable life, but could read a tele prompter like an actor.
Obama----------worst president in history
Trump-----------one of the best and possibly the best when his 8 years are over.
hopefully one way or another red ,he doesn't last that long
I am curious, why do you want the country to fail? its a serious question.
I just don’t know how much more “success” we can take from Trump.
yeah, I know. record low unemployment, all time record lows for blacks, hispanics, and women, companies moving back to, and expanding in, the USA, tax cuts for everyone who pays taxes, and until the virus arrived, record high stock markets, new trade deals with china, the EU, Canada and Mexico.
Yes, I fully understand why you libs and dems don't want any more Trump success.

He maintained Obama's trend line, while increasing debt with a giant tax cut. That's not genius. He inherited a good, and growing, economy. That he told you chuckleheads he inherited a disaster didn't make it so.
And yet nobody on your side can point to one policy of his that did anything for the economy. Hate to burst your bubble, but it's impossible to give credit for the economy to the most anti-business President we've had in our lifetime.
Why would I need to do that? You can see the unemployment trend right there on the page. Does it look like it was a "disaster" to you? Why would you believe anyone who said it was?
When did I say or support it was a disaster? What I said is that DumBama didn't do anything to stimulate the economy. Trump did. That's the difference. President Trump is a businessman, and made policy to support businesses--just the opposite of Obama.
trump your business man had 6 of his companies go bankrupt on him, and are banks still afraid to lend him a nickle? American banks that is , and his son running his businesses No emolument there right?
This number keeps growing with every telling.
Bri ,,,,Ray it all depends how you count
Trump’s Taj Mahal opened in April 1990 in Atlantic City, but six months later, “defaulted on interest payments to bondholders as his finances went into a tailspin,” The Washington Post’s
Robert O’Harrow found. In July 1991, Trump’s Taj Mahal filed for bankruptcy. He could not keep up with debts on two other Atlantic City casinos, and those two properties declared bankruptcy in 1992. A fourth property, the Plaza Hotel in New York, declared bankruptcy in 1992 after amassing debt.
PolitiFact uncovered two more bankruptcies filed after 1992, totaling six. Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts filed for bankruptcy again in 2004, after accruing about $1.8 billion in debt. Trump Entertainment Resorts also declared bankruptcy in 2009, after being hit hard during the 2008 recession.
Why the discrepancy? Perhaps this will give us an idea: Trump told Washington Post reporters that he counted the first three bankruptcies as just one.
