70% of conservatives would join a Tump-led third party.

But that's not what happens when no one makes it to 270. I explained what DOES happen... and why it's a bad idea.

Why is that? Are you afraid that if politics actually went in that direction, the Patriot party would come out on top most of the time?

First, change the Constitution.

Trump's followers and Senate Republicans are mistaken.

There is nothing in our Constitution that forbids the impeachment trial after the President has left office, bearing in mind that Trump was impeached for inciting an insurrection while President.

To be frank, the possibility certainly exists the Framers never thought of it. They never thought that Americans would elect a President as bad as Trump.

Trump was elected by virtue of several strange factors that will probably never happen again. The Democrats nominated the worst possible candidate, a candidate with a ton of baggage and facing possible indictment by the DOJ for her carelessness of state secrets. Voter apathy, 90 million voters stayed home on Election Day, and another ten million wasted their vote on third party candidates "in protest." Putin and Wikileaks combined to help Trump get elected.

Nevertheless, Trump was a minority President. He was elected by 27% of the electorate. His unpopularity throughout his Presidency reflects that fact.

However, once elected, Trump became the darling of extremists, white supremacists, neo-Nazis, current and former members of the KKK, the intellectually challenged, anarchists, and -- believe it or not! -- the religious right. The current group of malcontents like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are a reflection of that kind of support.

His fan club became a cult. They created fantasies about him and are completely clueless as to what Trump actually does and says. They get their information from far right commentators on Fox and other far right sources while ignoring the real news media because it reveals the reality of Trump. They make every attempt to avoid that reality. Trump's cult prefers their fantasies.

Unfortunately, the extremists in Trump's cult have not gone away, and they amassed 74 million votes in the last election, a force to be reckoned with. McConnell, Thune, Cheney, Cassidy, Burr, Romney, Toomey, and others are trying to steer their party away from the extremists, but it is an uphill battle. While losing the House, Senate, and the Presidency under Trump's stewardship, his followers remain loyal to him, not the Republican Party, indicating again the cult-like nature of Trump's fan club as opposed to a political alliance.

At some point Republicans have to grow a brain.

No doubt about it, the Framers never envisioned a man like Trump becoming President.

Which has been proven to be false on several levels. The Nazis just needed an excuse--even if it was a lie to try and stop Trump from coming back because they are more scared of him than they are of God; at least the few that actually believe in God.

Well a Trump-led third party would be a major improvement over the wimpy, wimpy, wimpy establishment Republican Party who loves winning second place so it can sit back and bitch and complain and do nothing.

At least it would be a party that would fight for all Americans rather than Wall Street, the pharmaceutical industry, the military industrial complex and the BIG Money donors. It would likely have a lot of new people which means it would be far less corrupt than either the Democratic or Republican Party that we are stuck with today.

It would be great to have such a party that would put American and American citizens first for a change. Fuck the globalists who want to see the demise of our great nation.

A new Republican party won't replace the old one. They would always still be there. it would be a third party instead. That means it would guarantee Democrat wins every election afterwards. How did Bill Clinton win his first election? That's right, Ross Perot.

Ross Perot might have won that election. He was in the lead and then suddenly dropped out. It appears he really didn’t want to win.

To say Trump’s new party couldn’t win is a lot like saying back in 2016 Trump could never beat Hillary.

I suspect the amount of enthusiasm a Trump led third party could generate would be simply amazing.

Of course the media would say it was full to the brim with white supremacists, gun nuts and people who cling to their God and Bibles. That might help Trump’s party grow and grow.

Imagine a party that would fight for Americans and put the USA first not last.

A party who believed. in ONE RULE OF LAW FOR ALL.

A party that would be for legal immigration but not illegal immigration.

A party who supported the cops not the criminals.

A party that was for the Second Amendment and opposed gun registration, confiscation or high license fees.

A party that was for free speech everywhere.

A party that was not politically correct or woke.

A party that felt female sports should involve and be won by biological women. Transgender women could compete in their own category.

A party that was not beholden to Wall Street, the military industrial complex, the pharmaceutical industry or the BIg Money donors.

A party that was for improving education for minorities in the big urban wastelands by promoting charter schools.

A party that provided opportunity and jobs for minorities and tried to develop minority owned businesses.

A party where “pay for play” wasn’t an accepted way of using your political influence to become wealthy.

A party that wasn’t wimpy, wimpy, wimpy like the current establishment Republican Party but instead encouraged candidates to be willing to put up the good fight for American citizens and fight harder than its opponents.

A party whose members didn’t sell their souls to the Chinese Communists like so many Democrats have.

A party whose candidates didn’t make empty promises while campaigning they never intend to keep.

I would say if such a party started organizing today it could gain seats in the midterms and win the Oval Office in a landslide in 2024.

People are SICK and TIRED of both establishment Democrats and Republicans. They suck big time.

I agree with all that, but you will never accomplish it with a secondary Republican party. It would only divide us.

In 2016, voters decided to have an all Republican federal government. Four years later, we are now an all Democrat federal government. In other words, winning elections for both parties is a 50/50 shot. Even if this Patriot party attracted 90% of members from the Republican party, it still guarantees Democrat election superiority. Neither Republicans nor Patriots could ever win an election again.

If we want a conservative party, it has to happen from within. That means people need to pay attention to the primary races to insure another RINO doesn't enter the party. Whether that can be accomplished or not nobody knows. But we need to promote it publicly as much as possible. Unfortunately, to beat the Democrats, we need those RINO's and establishment people to do it. If we leave them behind, we are sunk.

Trump lost everything. The Presidency. The Senate. The House. Everything.

Democrats aren't scared of Trump.

They believe he has violated the COTUS and should be held accountable.

Too bad Republicans Trump cultists don't think the same.

Of course they are scared of Trump. Why do you think they impeached him for not only something he was not responsible for, but for actually exercising his constitutional rights? They are so desperate they used a long shot to try and stop him for 2024. Look how bad Biden screwed up our country in less than a month. After four years of this stupidity, Trump will be welcome with open arms by the voters, and they know it.

Right. Exactly. Spot on.

But why would "RINOs" want to vote for a party that ridicules them and wants to drive them out?

For the same reason they vote for them now. We only have two choices in this country unfortunately: Democrat or Republican.

A Trump third party made up of mostly GOPer Conservatives: Remember that he said in a NV speech in 2016 that he dearly loved the poorly-educated - case closed.

"RINOs" are looking at it differently.

Cult of personality v politics

Autocracy v democracy

Attack on the foundations of the republic v the rule of law

These issues go beyond policy differences. These issues are existential.

The Trump base is a minority.

If the "conservative" movement wants to latch itself onto the Trump cult, they are doomed to wander the wilderness like they did for 50 years after the Great Depression.

Oh, well then that must explain how Trump got over 12 million more voters than his first run at the presidency, and furthermore broke a record of voters for any incumbent President in history. His base is such a minority. :laughing0301:

And yet every uneducated ghetto across the country votes 95% plus Democrat every election. Go figure. :dunno:

No it has not, you constitutional bonehead :eusa_doh:

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.

No one has a constitutional right to incite a seditious insurrection on the Capitol to hunt down the vice president and other assorted lawmakers.

Ross Perot might have won that election. He was in the lead and then suddenly dropped out. It appears he really didn’t want to win.

This is the last poll before Perot dropped out

Bush 33%
Perot 32%
Clinton 27%

He wasn't leading but he was in a statistical tie.

I remember how enthusiastic I was about Perot and how that enthusiasm was shared by a number of my co-workers.

We were simply amazed when he dropped out.

Both the Republican and Democratic Parties love college educated voters who have been brainwashed into how wonderful globalism is and how we should be ashamed of our nation.

Many of those lower educated Trump voters do jobs the college educated people can’t and get high pay for doing so. The mechanic that repairs your cars, the plumber, the electrician or the roofer make a damn good living from college educated folks.

Plus many college educated people are living in their parent’s basement or working as baristas at some overprice coffee shop.

Most of your poorly educated voters aren’t stuck deeply in debt because they paid far too much money for a diploma which is just a piece of paper that supposedly proves they are capable of learning something.

I told my grandsons to go out and learn a trade rather than go to college. Then if they want a degree, go to college after work. The college instructors will not find brainwashing my grandsons easy as they have been out in the world learning how it really works.
