This reminded me of a Russian comedian talking about the difference between Russia and the US: "In America you go looking for a party, but in Russia the party comes looking for you".

I get it that kids don't know any better, but anybody over 30 oughta realize the difference between capitalism and socialism. There's a reason why even Russia and China have some elements of capitalism in play for their economies. One works very well if properly governed but the other one doesn't.

Pretty scary stuff here. Not only do 62% of young people have a favorable view of Socialism, but 34% have a favorable view of Communism. This is just more proof that our education system has gone off the rails. I contend that is due to enemy influence, but that is another discussion.

When will mature, adult Democrats, if there are any left, realize that they need to reign in the far-left of their party to prevent this type of uninformed, ignorant thinking? Are all Democrats so lost in the wilderness that they are unable to see the danger their current party poses to this Republic? The financial hub of our country is getting ready to elect a professed Democratic Socialist, in large part due to the young (and non-native born) population in that city. He will fail miserably. Maybe that will be a walk-up call, but I’m not so sure that will be enough wake people up.

I point out often that the taxpayers bailing out failed business has nothing to do with capitalism but still a large segment of people support it.

As usual, you Marxies have it exactly backwards. Businesses are bailed out all the time by capital investors. Socialists will use taxpayer money to bail out a business and give ownership to the government.

Well, maybe if Capitalism weren't such a shit sandwich, young people might have a better opinion of it.

Instead, they watch their parents get the life sucked out of them in soul-crushing jobs, while a few fat cats keep getting richer, and say, "**** that!" And with AI coming for all their jobs, Socialism does sound kind of appealing.

The very fact that NY is electing a socialist shows how really sick of Capitalism some people have gotten.

Now, there's a whole slew of reasons why Socialism doesn't work, I get that. But you really can't look at the status quo of someone building a gilded ballroom while you are cutting off poor people's health care and food stamps.

Every revolution starts with a ruling class that is unable to read the room.

Capitalism has produced the most advanced, productive and safe societies in the history of mankind. To misquote Churchill, capitalism is the worst form of economic systems, except for all the others.
