My understanding is that the Democratic Socialists of America are left center and far left. This would make sense to me since they are the largest socialist organization in the United States by membership.
I don't think however, that they have very centralized leadership, so I can't say to what extent they collaborate with the CPUSA or the ACP. They have a lot of local focus. They can be rabidly aligned with Marxist ideology.
They have experienced a bit of resurgence. They latched onto Bernie Sanders when Trump first ran. They did not support H Clinton.
You can say they are effective locally, and had a big hand in getting Mamdani elected. They also helped get the new Seattle mayor elected.
I think they are smart to focus on local elections, so look out. You have more control there. Their base is getting more extreme, so look out again. They are back dooring in cultural marxism with sophisticated--shall I say slick--marketing campaigns.
