I don't think so. They have some affect, but control? Nah. Producers will find ways to avoid the more onerous rules/regs.

Like the tariffs and trade deals?

You are an imbecile.

Try finding your slavery system, socialism, in the Constitution.

Let's prove it:

AI Overview

The U.S. Constitution is based on freedom, not socialism
It was designed to protect individual liberties and limit government power, which is the opposite of socialism's emphasis on collective control and centralized government. The Constitution establishes a system with separation of powers, checks and balances, and federalism to prevent tyranny and safeguard individual rights like freedom of speech, religion, and property.
Key principles of the Constitution related to freedom
  • Individual liberty: The Constitution and its amendments, especially the Bill of Rights, protect fundamental individual freedoms, including speech, religion, and assembly.
  • Limited government: It was designed to prevent government overreach through mechanisms like the separation of powers, checks and balances, and federalism.
  • Protection of private property: The Constitution upholds the right to private property, which is a core principle that contrasts with socialist economic models that advocate for collective ownership.
  • Popular sovereignty: The Constitution establishes that the government's power comes from the people, not the state, ensuring a government accountable to its citizens.
The U.S. Constitution was not written and signed to reduce the power of the government, but to increase it. The Articles of Confederation in effect at the time created a government that was too weak.

But the first Ten Amendments limited that power.

It works fine if you don't mind slaughtering millions of human beings.

Clearly that is your view.

We can be a bit more descriptive.

"Over the past 100 years the most oppressive ideology in the world has been communism [Marxism]. While the people who lived under it were starved, tortured and murdered, its leaders lived in luxury.
The suppression of ordinary people by their communist rulers far surpasses anything capitalist employers were ever accused of doing. While condemning exploitation, communist dictators turned out to be masters at it.

a. R.J. Rummel estimates that almost 170 million people were killed in the 20th century by their own governments. These are not deaths in war. They are the victims of genocide by the governments in the countries where they lived. Hate on the Left
Karl Marx never advocated the totalitarian methods used in his name during the twentieth century. Those methods were Vladimir Lenin's and Joseph Stalin's idea. If Marx had been able to talk to Lenin and Stalin he would have told them that Russia was not ready for communism, and needed to go through a capitalist period first.

Marx's idea of communism excluded totalitarian methods.

But the first Ten Amendments limited that power.
Even with the Bill of Rights the government authorized by the U.S. Constitution was much stronger than the government authorized by the Articles of Confederation.

Since the Constitution was ratified the U.S. government has become bigger and stronger in response to popular demand, that has been demonstrated in democratic elections.

Me neither.

"We must rid ourselves once and for all of the Quaker-Papist babble about the sanctity of human life." Leon Trotsky You support an ideology that only advances on the blood and corpses of those who oppose it. No wonder it hates religion.

Naturally. Growing up at home is already a form of socialism, the parents are the state. Parents USED to raise kids to do a little work and earn a little money so that they learned responsibility and how capitalism works, but the US government criminalized doing that. The Fed says our kids must be raised full socialist now. Graduating high school or college, one NEEDS money and a person hasn't yet usually made any wealth yet due to capitalism, so naturally, a system which still keeps giving free stuff sounds like a necessary and good deal, especially when it is all your parents and the state have ever shown you.

I like the idea of a wealth tax, and socialized medicine.

Democrats are not in favor of no punishment for criminals.

I agree with Trump on a few issues, but I loathe him because of his dishonesty, and his vulgar, low class personality.

The Articles of Confederation was the U.S.'s first constitution, in effect from 1781 to 1789, establishing a weak central government with most power residing in the states
. It was replaced by the U.S. Constitution because its weaknesses, such as the lack of a strong federal government and the inability to tax or enforce laws, led to governmental and economic instability. The Constitution created a more unified federal government with a stronger central authority.

I read a political tinker for insight, rather than doctrine. I think Marx had two valid insights, and that he was mistaken about everything else.

I read a political thinker for insight, rather than doctrine. My study of the writings of Karl Marx included a fascinating seminar on Das Kapital given by a brilliant member of the American Communist Party. I believe that Marx had two valid insights and that he was mistaken about everything else.

One can only say that socialism "has never worked" if one fails to distinguish between Communism and democratic socialism.

The closest approximation to democratic socialism that has worked is social democracy. Socialized medicine gets better results with less money than American health care.

Also, Communism enabled the Soviet Union to industrialize rapidly enough to produce the weapons that enabled the Soviet Union to defeat the Nazi invasion. The vast majority of German casualties were on the Russian front.

Communism enabled Communist China to produce the best consumer goods at the lowest prices. The keyboard I am using to type these words, the screen I read them on, my mouse, and my personal computer were all made in Communist China. They were reasonably priced. They work fine.
Your keyboard is made in a Chinese slave factory.

We operate under a socialist system. Stomp your feet all you want and pretending otherwise changes nothing.

Nowhere in Capitalism do you find the part where taxpayers are on the hook for bailing out failed businesses.
We are not a socialist system. Go back to school.

What you admitted was that you like the idea of 65 million human being being murdered to accomplish some economic advance.

Nowhere, that's my point. If a business fails, other capitalists will either buy it out or replace the management. Government and the taxpayer play no roll.

If my keyboard was built by prison labor. I wish prison labor in the United States was better exploited. Convicted criminals do not deserve remedial education and job training. They have debts to pay society.

I already schooled that little Marxie that the cheap Chinese shit is produced in slave factories. Marxism depends on low IQ individuals like that one.
