Well, the thing is that the norm of any nation is how the majority of the citizens are doing. Having said that, no one person can say how other people are being affected, so you ask each individual person how he is doing.

Errr, that's not true. Plenty of "one person" can say how other people are doing, if they are well informed. Hell, if your thread works, YOU would be in a position to thus know how other people are being affected.
