We also know that things were redacted from certain people he didn't want mentioned.

He said he'd release the files, then didn't. Then tried to get Congressmen to stop the passing of the bill to release the files.

Then he released some of them because he had to. But not all of them.

And the editing of those files was done in the sort of way you see Kash Patel going to Congress and talking to them. "We'll do it, because we have to, but we'll piss them off in the process too".

I don't believe Trump said he blocked release of files he said he would release.
