Five months into his second term, Donald Trump has already issued 164 Executive Orders, most of them in his first 100 days. At this rate, he could sign well over a thousand EO's by the time he retires.

You guys can't even keep your claims straight... retires? Did you forget that he's destroyed democracy and is installing himself as dictator?? 🤡

It's kinda fun to watch though.
When confronted with irrefutable facts, your tender psyche cannot afford to even consider, you insecure jackals do what you always do.

You attempt to kill the messenger.

It doesn't work.

The cult is unbelievably weak-minded. Your high-fiving in defeat is really sad.

Wow. Rather than admit your god is the hypocrite, as can plainly be seen, you whine how unfair it is to use his own words against him! And you whine there are TOO MANY of his words!
Your hypocrisy is what’s on display, dirtbag.

Just deal with it. I may have assisted, but — ultimately — your full exposure as the hypocrite you are is entirely on you.

👍

Deep down inside, the cult knows. They know Trump is a ginormous hypocrite.

The evidence is undeniable. The utter lack of excuses for his hypocrisy is also undeniable.

A compliant Congress. A compliant Supreme Court.

There are ZERO excuses for doing an end run around Congress.

Remember when you tards whined about Obama's "end runs".

I know you do.
Right up front — and all the way through —we all know (including you) that you are a hypocrite.

You are perfectly fine with EO’s but only point to Trump because he has criticized other President’s over reliance on them.

We all know that merely bloviating about the number of EO’s is disingenuous of you.

Newsflash for dumbasses such as you: EO’s have validity in many cases. So, the real question (as opposed to your bogus narrative) is whether you can point to how any given EO is improper and explain how and why.

.
If you add the 220 EOs he signed in the four years of his first term, we have 384 Trump EOs in total.

Donald Trump owns the Senate. Donald Trump owns the subservient House who is doing whatever he orders them to do. He has a conservative Supreme Court which also ratifies most of his behaviors.

So why so many EO's?

To be fair, I think we should ask Trump his opinion about so many power grabs. Fortunately, he has left us a very long, very consistent record of his opinions about EOs.

Speaking on our system of checks and balances:
“I don’t think he (Obama) even tries anymore. I think he just signs executive actions. That’s the way the system is supposed to work. And then all of a sudden, I hear he tried, he can’t do it, and then, boom, and then another one, boom.”

At least Obama tried to get his agenda through Congress. Trump hasn't even tried, despite having Congress in a choke hold.

Trump in 2015: "Look at Obama. He doesn't get anything done. You have Democrats that have been there for years and they've hardly met him. You have got to get — you've got to close the door and get things done without signing your executive orders all the time. That's the easy way out."

2016: "You know, it's supposed to be negotiated; you're supposed to cajole, get people in a room; you're supposed to deal with them, you have Republicans, you have Democrats, you have all these people that get elected to do this stuff, and you're supposed to get together and pass a law. [Obama] doesn't want to do that because it's too much work. So he doesn't want to work too hard. He wants to go back and play golf."

Trump signed a Covid EO while golfing at his Bedford, NJ golf club.

January 2016:
"We have a president that can't get anything done so he just keeps signing executive orders all over the place."

February 2016:
"Obama goes around signing executive orders. He can't even get along with the Democrats. He goes around signing all these executive orders. It's a basic disaster. You can't do it."

March 2016:

"I want to not use too many executive orders, folks. Executive orders sort of came about more recently. Nobody ever heard of an executive order. Then all of a sudden Obama, because he couldn't get anybody to agree with him, he starts signing them like they're butter. So I want to do away with executive orders for the most part."

Trump doesn't want to use too many executive orders? Is that why he signed 142 EO's in his first 100 days???

I have no idea what signing EO's "like they're butter" means. An early sign of dementia?

So now we have an unequivocal record of how Trump feels about Executive Orders. He believes they are a power grab. He believes they are a sign of incompetence. He believes they are a sign of laziness.

Before he finished his first term, Trump had already shattered the number of Obama's EO's (277). He blew right past it. Now he' piling on more and is currently at 384.

So far.

Wow, is this how you express your frustration now that SCOTUS has slapped down district judges?

I said three months ago it was over & today's decision by those right wing MAGA mf'ers on SCOTUS, confirms it. What they have done is legalize lawlessness by Trump, Bondi & the rest of those ******* scabs. They have castrated the lower courts from doing anything about this administration's law breaking. From now on, THEY & THEY alone will decide what to do about the convicted felon & his disregard for the law. SCOTUS has ensured that Trump can stomp on our constitutional rights & unless those affected by his actions can afford to hire s high priced lawyer who will take on the federal govt., well tough shit.

I'll say it again. The country as we knew it is finished.
I hope you're wrong, but...

I stumbled across something pretty interesting yesterday.

I've been thinking that this attachment they have to their master is emotional. More likely it's psychological, as it is with cults. It's called "Identity Fusion". Some interesting reading if you're interested:

Trumpism & Identity Fusion

The researchers, Philip Moniz of Northeastern University and William B. Swann of the University of Texas at Austin, aimed to understand why many Trump supporters remained loyal despite his repeated promotion of falsehoods about the election and subsequent criminal charges. Trump’s allegations of voter fraud, which were widely debunked, had far-reaching consequences, including the January 6 Capitol riot and ongoing polarization within the United States. The study sought to investigate how identity fusion could sustain belief in misinformation and shape political attitudes.

Well, thank you for expressing your ignorance and your willingness to parrot the lie that Biden let 12 million illegals in.

Prove your bullshit.

Your deflections do nothing to cover Trump's astounding EO hypocrisy.

Nice try.

Orange Man Bad.

Don't you have anything new?

Maybe from this decade or something?

Nope. Trump himself said EOs are a lazy, incompetent way of governing, grasshopper.
So what? I've always said I couldn't care less what Trump says, I care about what he does. These EOs are accomplishing the agenda I voted for.

"Small government" Republicans finally love big government consolidation of powers for the Executive, as long as he's their executive, of course.

The first day of Joe set the tone for 4 lousy years. We knew by the summer of 2021. The pain getting there finally exploded. All of those EO's. We survive off of cheaper fuels and energy.
