Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger Signing Executive Order to Keep ICE Away From Polling Places

My personal feeling is that if a person allows themselves to be intimidated out of voting, they shouldn’t be a citizen, because voting is a duty. If someone will not do their duty in the face of intimidation, then in my opinion they are not qualified to be a citizen. As the saying goes, freedom is not free — sometimes it requires sacrifice.

After all, if a citizen will not stand up and demand their right to vote, how can you expect them to take up arms and resist a tyrant who might try to take over the government? Let me make something clear: these claims that Trump is a dictator or a tyrant are just political manipulation. You will know a real tyrant when one comes. A true tyrant would do things like attempt to override state authority, replace state governments with federally controlled districts run by loyalists, or try to disarm the population. Those are the kinds of actions that signal tyranny.
A US citizen should never have to feel intimidated at the polling place because...

18 U.S. Code § 592 - Troops at polls

"Whoever, being an officer of the Army or Navy, or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held, unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both; and be disqualified from holding any office of honor, profit, or trust under the United States."

...and their lack of internal fortitude in the face of armed intimidation is not a reason to disqualify them from citizenship.

ICE can't hang around voting sites anyway.
I think it’s irrelevant whether or not ICE is at polling stations. It shouldn’t be an issue. Anyone who has the right to vote shouldn’t be in fear of ICE or anyone else, for that matter. Exercising your right to vote is not a crime.

Local police are allowed at the polling stations. They are not federal agents.
Your cut and paste says differently, darling’. Your cut and paste identifies that, “ any officer of the Army, Navy, or person in the civil or military service of the U.S. who brings, keeps, or controls troops or armed men at an election place will face fines, up to five years in prison, and permanent disqualification from holding federal office.”

By the way, “https://www.nj.gov/oag/dcj/agguide/2022_Law-Enforcement-Guidance-for-Elections.pdf”

“Earlier this year, the Legislature passed and the Governor
signed into law P.L. 2021, c. 459, which establishes new parameters for law enforcement presence at polling places, early voting sites, and ballot drop boxes. In light of the new law, in February I issued updated guidance to help our state’s law enforcement leaders remain fully informed about the role of law enforcement in elections. As I did in advance of this summer’s primary elections, I am providing this important guidance to ensure continued compliance with our state’s election laws.”

I think you need to alert your ICE Watch Warrior lesbians in minnesota’istan that armed police are at voting places in New Jersey.

The above cut and paste was cut and pasted earlier and addressed above..

I’m just saying it’s a pathetic situation our country finds itself in when you have a country full of citizens who are too afraid to vote. How much longer can we actually expect to remain free? I think the nation really should consider tightening the requirements for naturalized citizenship.

Why did you feel the need to cut and paste multiple versions of your earlier cut and paste?

Didn’t you read what you cut and pasted?

“or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States,”

Who is too afraid to vote? There are police where I go to vote. My delicate sensibilities are not so offended that I can’t cope.

Never really thought about it much, but I've always though we should stop people from voting in Texas who aren't eligible to vote in Texas. Furthermore it is up to Texas to enforce it's voting laws. Not armed federal ICE agents patrolling our polling locations. Come to find out there are very few non citizens voting in state or federal elections.
When we have federal elections and states don't enforce voting laws in federal elections, we've got a problem.
