300,000 deaths from COVID are expected by the first of December

If we could get ACCURATE counts from democrat areas (good luck), the actual death toll from covid19 is still under 10,000

ALL the rest are co-morbidity all bundled together with deaths from bicycle accidents, car accidents, staph infections, heart attacks, diabetes etc etc etc

It was a HUGE mistake, the Feds paying up to $35,000 per covid19 case.
NewYork made out like a bandit.
This is the most disgusting nonsense that is insulting in the extreme to medical professionals all around this country, many dozens who are literally dying to treat covid19 patients. The actual costs to hospitals to treat these incredibly ill patients is far exceeding any federal pandemic funds meant to assist them in the response - the massive economic hit that hospital systems are taking has been a constant topic of economists assessing the toll of the pandemic on various industries.

You folks are just morons. And hateful to boot.

What's the death rate one more time..???
.4 Percent

Yeah, we're all gonna die according to you jackasses
For under-70 it’s .04 %.
Flu is .1%.

This really shows how pitiful the response has been in the country compared to other nations. We account for 1/4 of all deaths worldwide. We also have the highest rate of new cases worldwide. Meanwhile, in South Korea, a country with a population of 50 million, has 300 deaths.

Boy, how hard was that ?

1,000 per day.......

150 days left.

Over 160 K dead already.

That took a lot of brainpower.

You start the sentence "This reality....."

Sorry Billybullshit....it hasn't happened yet.

Dumbshit thread

The economic hit that hospitals face is from the drop in patients for other than Wuhan.

Kinda pails in comparison to the Spanish flu of 1918 doesn't it.
So because you found a death toll higher, you think 300,000 deaths and counting do not matter?

The 300,000 deaths haven't even occurred yet. In order to get that many deaths, every single American would have to get infected with it.
Wow basic math has failed you bad huh?

300,000 is about 1/10 of 1% of the American population. That's the death rate for the coronavirus
Okay 1) The death toll is actually much higher than that anyway given the shortage of testing and 2) you putting the number to a perspective does not change the fact that 300,000 people will be dead in December. Of course your childish mind is assuming the death toll will just stop at that point for some reason lol

More Americans dead from this virus than all the dead in WW1 and Korea combined.

You can say the same for the flu, lung cancer, drunk driving, probably blacks killing each other, Chicago......

My gosh you people are idiots.

I can understand how you might be led to believe that if you pay too much attention to CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC etc.

EVERY day they start their coverage with words like

"GRIM"
"BLEAK"
"DEVASTATING"
"APOCALYPTIC"
"End of TIMES"

They really are trying to terrify people. Fear Mongering bastards.
If you don't think for yourself and really check into it, you fall victim to it easily.
I've visited several ER's in VERY large urban cities lately.....Ghost towns.
Almost all of them have removed the pre-screening temporary tents they thought were going to be needed initially.

The media wants you to believe they are stacking bodies in hundreds of portable morgues. Freaking Bullshit

We should also point out that in the next 160 days, 1.2 million americans will die of other causes. That means that the CuomoVirus will contribute an extra 10% to the mortuaries of the country.

Oh boy....We're ALL gonna Die !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fort Fucked Up Indiana said....."education WHO"??? :laughing0301: :laughing0301:

Wow basic math has failed you bad huh?
Well... You are right about the math... However... According to the CDC the people who die who have Covid is about 3%. Now that doesn't mean they actually died of Covid, just that they did have covid when they died. And we'll just say that the mistakes are nill for false positives/negatives. Considering they are testing people who have died from gunshot wounds and motorcycle accidents... Pretty sure they are trying to test everybody that dies if they have it.

If everyone in America got it, right around 10 million people would be dead from it at a three percent death rate.

Now... I'm not going to blow smoke up your ass and tell you I think it's death rate is 3%... I think there are people who were going to die if they had covid or not. I don't think it's anywhere near that 3%. Keep in mind... Who here has actually HAD COVID? ****Shelzin's hand goes up**** Serious question... Anyone else?

But if YOU BELIEVE THAT THE DEATH RATE IS 3% OR HIGHER... Then the USA has done a fuck'n phenomenal job at keeping this at bay. Because we aren't even remotely close to ten million. It could be another year before a vaccine came out, and we wouldn't come near that 10 million mark.

I don't mind the masks... I don't mind the social distancing, unless I'm horny... I'm fine with it... Whatever. But it's not a four horsemen plague. Stop fear mongering. Taking it seriously does not mean you ignore reason.

Why are you selecting a specific time period?
I suppose if lockdowns has been imposed and repeated those flu seasons may have lasted longer and been more intense, too.
I live in 2 US regions and the death rate in both areas has dropped since May 31 by 65% and 70% while the positive numbers have increased up to 400% in one region. Seems to me if we selectively protect those most vulnerable (as Fauci has recently suggested) while allowing the rest of the country to do business, we’ll end the epidemic here.
Kinda sucks that you’d be disappointed that the death toll could be way lower than what you appear to hope for.

So, a weak yearly flu?

Yeap...big deal...my thoughts exactly.

Weak yearly flu? Fewer than 40,000 are estimated to die from the flu each year in the US...
Actually, Fauci himself said it was akin to a . . . what was the wording? Oh yes, a "severe seasonal influenza." :heehee:

". . . If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%. This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS, which have had case fatality rates of 9 to 10% and 36%, respectively.2"

Fauci said it might end up closer to a seasonal flu than to SARS or MERS as far as case fatality rates. The flu does not kill anywhere near 100,000 people a year in the US, let alone the 150,000 or so COVID-19 is supposed to have killed so far or the 300,000 guesstimate brought up by the OP. That 150,000 is already more than both the 1957 and 1968 estimates for US deaths from those flu outbreaks.

I hope that case fatality rates similar to SARS and MERS isn't the bar people use to determine whether a disease is worthy of concern.

The 300,000 prediction from the OP may be entirely wrong, but based on current numbers, COVID-19 has killed far more people this year than the flu does in any given year in the US, other than the 1918 pandemic.

But you need to consider the age of those who died and the likelihood of their deaths if not at the time but in the near future. That really skews the severity when compared to flu.

Yes, but the point of the thread is that bureaucrats are clearly padding the numbers because politicians are paying them to do so.

We have no idea what the real numbers are.

You cannot state with any amount of certainty how many people have actually died because of, or died with Covid-19.

If you are? Then you have become a partisan yourself.
