Having said that, I am a staunch supporter of morals, ethics, principles and humanity and I am always happy to see when someone (like Zelenski) stands up for those and when those that try to break those down (like Putin) fail.

Given that I am willing to give my life in support of those ideals, I am sad when someone dies (like the Ukrainians) for attempting to uphold those ideals.

Having said all of the above, since I do believe there is a heaven and there is a hell and those that die supporting morals, ethics, principles and humanity will end up going to heaven, the deaths have a meaning and the souls of those that died will go to a good place.

Unlike those (you?) whose souls will end up in hell and paying for their sins.
