Wisconsin protest has lost a LOT of steam

but you do as a citizen have rights, they just shouldn't have any. and I hate to tell you this but its a lot more than just teachers who are state union members, the cops, the city workers, the snow plow driver, the firefighters and many other professions my good man.
But you want the job done for what your willing to pay and since your side, the conservatives have all but washed the working class down the shitter your demands have gotten louder, cut taxes for the rich and corp's, cut benefits and cut wages to those who make up the working class untill everyone is dependant on what the rich believe they are worth.

Like this snow plow driver in New York ?

They are union to aren't they ? there are pages and pages of those on youtube. I will admit, cops and firemen are one thing, but the rest just dont deserve what they get.

And Democrats should be blamed for every single one of those pink slips. If they had not run like children, stayed and voted, those pink slips would not have gone out.

Democrats are costing the middle class jobs. It's on their shoulders. The R governor found a way to afford these employees without layoffs or higher taxes, but Dem's cried like children about it. Now? Pink slips in the mail. Good job Dems.

Please explain.

A Republican Governor is laying people off, but it is the fault of Democratic representatives?

What are the consequences if the governor does not lay people off?

If the Senators would return and allow the vote to take place (they can vote against it), the layoffs will not be necessary. Without a vote, the layoffs are necessary.

If he doesn't lay them off, or doesn't get a vote, the State could go bankrupt.

Why did he pass a budget that would bankrupt the state without laying off employees? What makes the layoffs necessary?

Whats worse? Losing 2,000 jobs or losing worker's rights to ever have a decent wage in their lives? Thats what this fight is about. I like to make money, I don't want to have that taken away from me. Republicans want to take that away, we will fight to the end to ensure we have the right to make what we deserve.

He just took office. He hasn't even passed the budget yet, that is what the democrats are running from. If they aren't there, they cannot even call for a vote on the budget.

Without the new budget, layoffs are necessary because they don't have the money. If the deems would allow the vote to occur, the budget will pass and the layoffs wouldn't be necessary (or certainly not as many)

Fight hard, brother, because the end is determined, and it is getting very close.

I watched the live stream for 1 full minute just now. I counted 24 people, and I'm pretty sure I counted one of them twice, but we'll give it a margin of error.

The larger drummer is getting tired :)

They were kicked out by Walker, but nice try.

Yea even the Drum Circle nutters are going home. That's when you know it's all over. lol! The Teacher Unions may have over-played their hand on this one. I don't think the Taxpayers are going to back down this time. They've been raped by the Public Unions for so many years. I think they've finally had enough. Unions just don't belong in Government. I think more & more Americans are feeling this way. The Public Unions blew it when it became all about them and the Democrats. They alienated so many Taxpayers. This is probably their last gasp.

Mini 14 your so full of it. What is your gov going to do in a time of need? and 14 is that your age? LOL what a kid.

Oh by the way, the govenor of wisc has lied from the start and is still lying. He isn't saving the state 161 million dollars, he's taking the money that is there to pay a debt that is due to balance his budget. and then rolling the loan over at a cost of some say 29 million on top of what they owe.
This after saying he would not borrow to balance his budget, what a bunch of liars they have for elected officers in WISC.
The old statement hangs true: figures don't lie but LIARS sure can figure.

Oh the majority of people in wisc side with the union people, not the govenor, by 60 to 33%. so the tax payers know who is blowing his horn. This is nothing more than an attack on hard working people who republicans are willing to sacrafice for their needs.

Sounds like they are taking the only option he left them to reject his budget which sees layoffs vs Union-busting as his preferrable means of resolving the budget issues.

When you leave people who are elected to represent voters only one means to so represent the people who elected them, why complain about them doing what they were elected to do?

I had a feeling yesterday's "break" would take a lot of the wind out of their sales, and it apparently has.

I suspect it will pick back up again tomorrow, as the Governor begins sending out the pink slips. Supposedly 2000 to be laid off this week, unless they get a quorum first.

Wrong!

The SAPs running the GOP rodeo show have shut out the People from entering the public building where they are protesting.

Seems like they've seen the writing on the walls...they THought or ASS-U-MED that it would "die down" or they would "lose steam" but it didn't. It grew from starting at about 30 - 40 thousand, to 70 thousand and last count was 100 thousand strong, coming to protest in the rain, sun and blizzard cold snow to fight against the new regime.

Yet, you LIE and say it has lost a lot of steam.

Just like the bastards at FOX.

LOL!!!

The Republicans are TOAST!!

what i see says the exact opposite

Fixed it for you.
See above, you just proved that you have no concept about the time and qualifications needed to be a teacher....but I suspect you think that new ones can simply be plucked off the street, like McDonalds workers.

There is a surplus of QUALIFIED teachers in the US right now.

And there are plenty who will happily and thankfully take the positions of those who are calling in sick.

But today, the striking teachers have taken a break. We will see if losing their jobs gets them back to the Capitol. I say it will.

no there isn't....there is a shortage of teachers across the usa...?
