Its called hiding the evidence.
Can anyone explain why this was done?
Can anyone explain why this was done?
Two Reasons
1. Keep news stations helicopters from interfering with the clean up operations
2. they intend t use military airplanes to disperse chemicals over the spill to try to help aid the cleanup , and they don't want to risk an accident.
Logical decision.
So your arguement is to restrict air congestion. To me that isn't reason enough. Many accidents have happened and they have never restricted air space.

No my argument is that is to eliminate the chance that some idiot helicopter runs into a tanker full of skimmed oil, or a military jet full of jet fuel and chemical and explodes creating an even bigger mess than we have now. Not to mention you know that if something like that happened WE would be the ones footing the bill for it. Unless Obama just billed BP.
Major accidents happen yearly, and no one has closed the airspace on those accidents.
Will you people stop it with the Korean sub we all know their is no such animal.
.WASHINGTON, D.C. Todays story by the Associated Press contains a number of inaccuracies with regard to the governments oversight of flyovers in and around the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Since May 28th, the FAA has approved every request to fly over the area more than 176 requests. While the temporary flight restriction requires pilots to stay above 3,000 feet, the FAA is working with news organizations and granting exceptions so that pilots can fly at lower altitudes throughout the day.
The reason for these requirements is safety, pure and simple. So far, there have been a number of reported near misses over the Gulf due to heavy traffic and pilots flying above the oil spill to give their passengers a closer look.
On Sunday, a helicopter carrying a member of the Associated Press violated the temporary flight restriction around the oil clean-up efforts in the Gulf of Mexico. The helicopter operator was not authorized to fly into the restricted area and was flying at various altitudes well below 3,000 feet. For over 30 minutes, the pilot was not in communication with the Customs and Border Patrol aircraft that is providing traffic advisories for all participating aircraft. Customs and Border Patrol was forced to divert other traffic in the area, creating a dangerous situation for everyone involved. When the pilot was finally reached he was told to leave the area.
A pilot deviation (an action that results in the violation of a Federal Aviation Regulation) is being filed against the helicopter pilot
Let's recap what you have posted
1st you said:
"Its called hiding the evidence."
2nd you said:
When ever someone doesn't want photo evidence of something, there is always something to hide.
You are the one that said they were hiding something, But now you say there's nothing as far as you are concerned.. So which is it? Do you not have the balls to stand with your convictions?
You asked why they would close airspace:
Hiding evidence is one reason
you drew the question out and the answer is:
As far as i am concerned there is nothing to hide
Again as far as i am concerned there is nothing to hide. Operative word I How hard is that to understand. So back to your question
Why close the airspace. If you have balls state your theory of why instead of just asking lame questions. Otherwise you get what you get.
If you think they are not hiding something why did you make the speculation that they are?
As for me asking the question, I would like to see what others have heard. I am uncertain why they have closed the airspace and futher more I see no reason why it has been closed.
Its called hiding the evidence.
hiding WHAT evidence?
What are they trying to hide? After all obama is the head of the government.
you're babbling.
now go read the post above.
next time do some factchecking before you spread your ODS all over the place.

hiding WHAT evidence?
He asked an opened ended stupid question, of why would they do that?
That could be an answer. I made no claim it WAS the answer.

They most certainly do.
Can anyone explain why this was done?
that North Korean sub is still there?
DOn't be crazy, Obama's first order of business was to order , err I mean chase, that sub out of there.
Srsly tho. It's about safety. You know how many nutsos there are that have access to small aircraft that are going "Well hell Jethro...it's only thirty miles offshore...lets go take a looksee". Combine these idiots with random air traffic from many military aircraft...sooner or later someone is going to get hurt and killed.

So a question is stupid? It was not an open ended question you thought stupidly and I called you on your answer. Stupid peoiple will say the stupidest things.

No you called me on sticking to my statements. And I do Its no more a silly answer then UFO, subs, and magic or any other answer you got.
Do be annoyed when other people understand what i said and think your now babbling.
No question is ever stupid. But when you dont like the answers you get and try and run with it in foolish directions that are NOT there then that is stupid.
Can anyone explain why this was done?
that North Korean sub is still there?

What North Korean sub? Is this a joke?
The oil is not enough. So spray toxic chemicals.

Major accidents that are fought by low flying military jets spewing out chemicals? that is the current plan from what I've read.
