Why do some people loathe Obama?

Did we riot in the streets and throw eggs on his car on coronation day? Was he allowed to peacefully exit the car and walk with his bride unthreatened? Can't say the same for President Bush. You guys treated President Bush horribly even up to the last day. so sit down stfu and quit whining so much.

Go put on your white hood and go burn a cross on the White House lawn.
wow. I did not know how much of a racist you really are. I thought you were just mentally ill. Now I see just how badly.

wow!!! coming from a scumbag piece of shit like you that really hurts.

ASShole, can't stand the truth can you? You are uglier than your ugliest enemy.. that's your legacy to live with.

You define the word ugly broom hilda.

Loathe Obama?? Are you serious?? Did you miss the last 7 years of the DailyKos or MSNBC attacks on 43?

How about Bill Maher, this guy would eat his own children, Keith Olbermann, could not get a job anywhere else in news, unless it was at NBC, Rachel Maddow, I'll keep my opinions to myself on her....

This small group is in first place when it comes to loathing, it will take years, maybe decades for the right to come close to the crap that has come from their mouths......

Glug glug glug that kool aid must be very tasty considering you side with the people that were so hateful they tried to pull a coup de'tat over a blow job when Clinton was president and freed a future cop killer because he was accused of raping President Clinton's distant cousin.

Do you always ASSume things UP? Freed a cop killer? No wonder your so stupid, your ruled by your emotions, your # 1 on the lefts list of idiots they can easily sway with misdirection, try pulling your head out of whoever's ASS it's in, do some research, you just might make a half decent decision.....:ahole-1:

That's a Southern Dem thing.

not since 1964.

You realize the Senate bill actually reduces premiums, rights?

Nope. The only people that will see reductions are the ones who qualify for government subsidies. If memory serves, that's about 17%. And those subsidies, of course, are paid for by the rest of us, by our children, and by their children after them.

It's all bullshit. The revenues start getting collected YEARS before any benefits are paid. And the half trillion they've cut from Medicare will never actually be cut. What's more, they put half that amount back on a separate unfunded bill, so they don't have to include it in their accounting.

This is what happens when you watch Fox instead of actual news. While Fox claimed the CBO report said the bill does not reduce premiums, it actually does.

Average premiums per policy in the nongroup market in 2016 would be roughly $5,800 for single policies and $15,200 for family policies under the proposal, compared with roughly $5,500 for single policies and $13,100 for family policies under current law. The weighted average of the differences in those amounts equals the change of 10 percent to 13 percent in the average premium per person summarized above, but the percentage increase in the average premium per policy for family policies is larger and that for single policies is smaller because the average number of people covered per family policy is estimated to increase under the proposal. The effects on the premiums paid by some individuals and families could vary significantly from the average effects on premiums.

http://cbo.gov/ftpdocs/107xx/doc10781/11-30-Premiums.pdf

In even shorter summary form, individual policies get cheaper on average and family policies get more expensive, but only because the number of people covered by a given family policy is higher. The report also shows that these policies have a higher actuarial value.

Sorry. But the bottom line is that those policies go UP 10-13%. Any claims that these policies will cover "more people" are unprovable.

The CBO's estimates are only as good as the data they're provided. And while, so far, I'm not ready to cast aspersions on Elmendorf, I'm not forgetting he's a Democrat appointee, who has been summoned before high Lord Obama in an "unprecedented" manner.

The half trillion that the proposed legislation claims it will take out of Medicare is NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. Frankly, if Washington has allowed a half trillion in "fraud" to go unrecovered, it's time to break out the tar and feathers. No. What they MEAN when they say "waste, fraud, and abuse" is rationing. They count on us hearing "fraud" and not registering the arbitrary meanings of "waste" and "abuse". But, intentions aside... they'll never do it. They are creatures dependent upon public opinion.

So, those savings will never materialize and are ALREADY negated by half in the unfunded bill they've passed to compensate doctors, lest they dump Medicare en masse.

Congress gives crappy information to the CBO, who estimates based on what they're told. Let us not forget that the Baucus bill was supposed to tax so-called "Cadillac plans". But the numbers didn't reflect that the revenues would never fully materialize because people would most likely downsize their coverage than pay more for the bigger plan.

It's a fucking game to these people. They're playing "hide the sausage" with you.

Don't forget that they've said they're going to require this thing to be "deficit neutral", which means that when the revenues don't materialize... they're going to have to cover the costs through reduced services and/or raised taxes and premiums. Only an idiot wouldn't see that the light at the end of the tunnel... is an oncoming TRAIN.

I don't loathe Obama. I am, however totally against his policies that are intended to limit our freedoms by making our Representative Republic a socialist nation. Since Socialism is partially defined as government owning the the means of production, Dems point out that the government does not do that.

My arguement is they do not have to own the means of production if they pass the Cap and Trade Bill. They will will accomplish the same thing by regulating industry to the point that industry will do as government says, or else.

If the Obamacare legislation is adopted into law the government will have put into place control of virtually 100% of the economy. We the People will be no more than serfs to the elite. Government of, by and for the people will be passe and most will be saying how did this happen? By then it will be too late.

Yup. That's Fascism. The means of production are nominally private... but the government wields absolute control. Like the brain rules over the parts of the body.

All collectivist ideologies pretty much end up the same way.... control over the powerless many by the sly few, who've manage to climb over the backs of their brethren.

Good post.

If anything, the petty criticism I've heard of Obama has been far worse. Outside of a loon fringe, the criticisms of Bush were based on policies. You didn't have members of Congress claiming things as outlandish as the president was an illegal alien, or that he was planning to kill the elderly in their sleep.

I think it must be in how you look at things, because most of the criticisms of Bush that I remember were that he didn't speak intelligently or he had big ears making him look like a monkey etc. There was some criticism of the war or how we got into to war, but most of it was about his lack of speaking ability.

As for President Obama, I see more of the criticism as being his politics i.e. universal heath care and the stimulus plan which is thinly veiled socialism at its worst.

Basically, I would have to say it falls to your interpretation of the criticism, because in your words, "or that he was planning to kill the elderly in their sleep", which was not the criticism at all, rather it was that his policy would lead to rationalized healthcare and some people would not receive the needed care.

Nor, do I recall anyone claiming he was an illegal alien, but rather that based upon the Constitution he was not eligible to be President.

Then again, there was plenty of criticism, much of it deserved, in how President Bush wrangled us into a war in Iraq. And whether or not we should be there which were attacks on the President's policies.

I'm not saying you are wrong about the attacks on President Obama, as much of it is childish, but so was much of the attacks on President Bush.

Note: I am speaking general public here and you did mention Congress, but I think it applies to both.

Immie

That's completely dishonest. For starters, if government providing health insurance resulted in care being rationed to the elderly, why is that not already occurring now, since everyone over age 65 is in a government health insurance program? Also, you elevate the birthers to a level of seriousness they haven't even remotely earned. Notice that they continue the crazy crusade even after Obama's birth certificate was released to the public.

I guess I'm a "birther". His long form was never released to the public. Even if it had been and even if it was proven he was born in Hawaii, that doesn't necessarily make him a native born American citizen. He went to school in Indonesia where his citizenship was listed as "Indonesian". He traveled to Pakistan after the age a majority when American's weren't allowed. It stands to reason he traveled on an Indonesian passport. Indonesia doesn't accept dual citizenship which means he gave up his American citizenship AFTER the age of majority. He himself has called himself a "citizen of the world"...I maintain we don't need a "citizen of the world" as our president, we need and American citizen as our president.

He said he visited all 57 states. How many states do we have? For the slow minded, we have 50, not 57. There are, however, 57 Islamic states, quite possibly he visited them all on his Indonesian passport. Ever wonder why he won't release his passport? Of course not..the Obama worshipers are as bad as the Bush worshipers. Some people just don't believe that "their" candidate can do any wrong.

They're military. Their friends and family die because of Obama's piss poor support of them.

LMAO

Who was it said I doubt that the Iraq war will last 6 months.
The Iraqi war? There was no Iraqi war.

So many don't get that we've never been at war with Iraq. Iraqis are dying at a much higher rate than we are because of their desire for a free and democratic republic. They DIE because they line up to be trained as policemen who support a democratic government. They die while they're in line. We die supporting and training them, but the terrorists target their fellow Muslims much more vehemently than they target us.

But it's nice that lefties who enjoy sleeping snug in their beds with no fear, think that we're fighting the people we're actually dying to protect...all the while spacing out the fact that those people don't want us to leave.

Who loathes Obama? When have you heard the kind of petty carping criticism of Obama you used to hear about Bush?

I think that's so true. I just recently heard about the bumper stickers, tees, and other merchandise that say:

Pray For Obama
Psalm 109:8

Psalm 109:8 reads, quote, “Let his days be few and let another take his office.” The psalm then continues, “Let his children be fatherless and his wife a widow. Let his children continually be vagabonds and beg. Let them seek their bread also from their desolate places. Let the creditor seize all that he has and let strangers plunder his labor. Let there be none to extend mercy to him nor let there be any favor to his fatherless children.”

I think that is so cruel. People need to realize that there are nuts out there that do hate Obama and wish him ill.

CafePress stops selling Psalms 109:8 items | Crooks and Liars

That is awful. But the extreme idealogues on both sides are fanning the fire. The criticism of Bush was harsh and continues. The criticism of Palin, and right wing commentators is outrageous. Calling West Point "the enemy camp" is despicable. I do not blame Obama for the words of idiots like Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, but certainly they did help get him elected. And they are NOT helping him right now.

Obama could have moved center like Clinton, but he knows who put in him office. And those same far left moonbats will ensure that he only serves one term.

Guess I'll 'chime in' for a short comment. Real basic and simple, hopefully not stupid.

They, past presidents and lawmakers in general. LIE, if you will, or at the least, deceive the citizens by using terminology that sounds like one thing, but means another.
Or, is flat out useless rhetoric, all in the 'gray area' using up media time and saying nothing, but sounding as if it is addressing the issues at hand. This, I call "Spreading perfumed Manure", It sure 'smells' good, but is still a lot of "Chit"

I think part of President Obama's issue is that he "Just Ain't Right"........joking.....I think, in my opinion, seriously this guy is a brilliant orator, schooled in the "Chicago School of Gangster Politics", attended the "Church of God Damn America" led by Rev Jerrimia Wright, and the school of "Clueless of Indecision Politics", motto. 'Keepe'm Guessing' and has hired a motley crew of Marxists, Communists as advisers that rivals the times of Stalin, and 'others', I am not going to go through the list of who, the list is too long.

I was hoping, although I did not vote for Obama, that whoever won the election would carry the United States of America to new heights, not new lows. In as much as most, including me, dislike his attempts at 'leading the nation' I would still hope that, for the masses, he can pull something out of the fire, for all our sakes.

I do not loath Obama myself, I am just disappointed in his ability to actually lead. If he was as good at leading the nation as giving speeches, we'd have it knocked.
