As a Christian, pretty much all prophesies about the coming Messiah are shot down by those of the Jewish faith as not really being about the Messiah.

So, the question begs, which ones do they accept as being about the coming Messiah?

Does anyone have a list?

I assume there are some since they believe in a coming Messiah.

This is false as can be...the string of brilliant Jewish Christians like Edersheim and the organizations from Jews for Jesus to Association of Hebrew Catholics has answered that many times.

Google Rabbi Eugenio Zolli and see the biography by Judith Cabaud

As a Christian, I know the prophesies claimed by Christians. I'm just interested in the other side. What do Jews who reject Jesus as Messiah accept as being about the Messiah?

They aren’t Jews then. Jews for Jesus are like Mormons. Christian? Yes but not really?

Another in the line of apparently never ending mumbo jumbo threads featuring Cultists who still do not know what they are talking about after a 2000 year delay.
What other subject have you ever heard about that has required around 2000 years for an agreed opening submission to be prepared ?

What year did people say it was 2025 years ago?

The mashiach will be a great political leader descended from King David (Jeremiah 23:5). The mashiach is often referred to as "mashiach ben David" (mashiach, son of David). He will be well-versed in Jewish law, and observant of its commandments (Isaiah 11:2-5). He will be a charismatic leader, inspiring others to follow his example. He will be a great military leader, who will win battles for Israel. He will be a great judge, who makes righteous decisions (Jeremiah 33:15).

The mashiach will bring about the political and spiritual redemption of the Jewish people by bringing us back to Israel and restoring Jerusalem (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 23:8; 30:3; Hosea 3:4-5). He will establish a government in Israel that will be the center of all world government, both for Jews and gentiles (Isaiah 2:2-4; 11:10; 42:1). He will rebuild the Temple and re-establish its worship (Jeremiah 33:18). He will restore the religious court system of Israel and establish Jewish law as the law of the land (Jeremiah 33:15).

Biblical Passages Referring to the Mashiach

The following passages in the Jewish scriptures are the ones that Jews consider to be messianic in nature or relating to the end of days:

Most Christians and Jews make the mistake of interpreting the Hebrew Bible, what Christians call the "OT", literally, without paying attention to the context. They also consider the Hebrew Bible to be the inerrant word of God. As Christians our faith isn't based upon laws or texts but the person of Jesus Christ, and God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). If Christians are religiously going to follow a text, it should be the New Testament, not the Jewish Old Testament. The first Christians only had the OT, until the apostles began writing the NT, with its gospels and epistles.

The Targums take many many OT texts as Messianic.

generally, there are two sets of what you might think of as "messianic" prophecies -- ones that deal with the person and ones that deal with the situation.

So, for example, here are 4 essential prophecies about the situation

-He must build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28)
-He must gather all the Jews back to the Land of Israel (Is. 43:5-6)
  • He must usher in an era of world peace and bring an end to hatred, oppression, suffering and disease (Is. 2:4)
  • He must spread the knowledge of the G-d of Israel, uniting the entire world as one (Zechariah 14:9)

False on 3 counts
1) Mary, Joseph, Jesus, all the Apostles most of the converts were Jews and did not take conversion as giving up Judaism
2) Judaism itself did not have your all or nothing approach as the God-Fearers shows

3) Mormons to Christians is not the same as Christians to Mormons, a fallacy if ever there was one.
You expect a Messiah and argument over Who that is cannot be any kind of discriminator, there have been almost 30 false claimants to that and it never disqualified someone as a Jew

We believe and affirm that the Messiah will come. One should not think he is detained. [Rather,] "If he should tarry, await him" (Habakkuk 2:3)

One is not to assign him a specific time of arrival, nor should one use Scripture to deduce when he is coming. For the Sages have said, "The souls of those who calculate the end will be shattered."
MAIMONIDES is against you
He who doubts or belittles [the Messiah's arrival] denies [the authority of the Torah, which explicitly promises his arrival] in the story of Bilaam and in Deuteronomy 30.

Included within this Principle is [the idea] that the king of Israel must come from the House of David and the seed of Solomon. Anyone who opposes this dynasty defies the Almighty and the words of His prophets.

You erroneously interpret those passages literally. There's a lot of symbolism in the Hebrew Bible, apocalyptic, hyperbolic language, that is entirely metaphysical in nature. The fulfillment of God's plan for all of humanity is consummated in the Jew who split time 2000 years ago and set the world on fire for the God of Israel. The Gentiles went from worshiping false gods to worship the God of Israel and His Son. Those who claim to be Jews today or Israelites, and reject Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, Ben Yoseph), on the grounds he supposedly didn't fulfill or meet the carnal, mundane expectations of rabbinic Judaism, are in error. They've anti-Christ/anti-Messiah and anti-humanity in general. Zionist, anti-Christ Jews are going to cause a high degree of chaos in the world, and that's what's going to spark the return of Jesus.

Jesus will return to save the world from the anti-Christ system and values, promoted and established by Zionist "Jewry".

BTW when I say that Jesus is going to return, that doesn't imply that it will be a physical coming. Ezekiel 37:26 is fulfilled in Rev 21:

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

One must be born again and filled with God's Holy Spirit to live and experience what is described above. Otherwise, you're like Elisha's servant who was unable to see the angelic army, with their fiery chariots. The eyes of the faithful are opened to see and experience the Kingdom of YHWH on this Earth, unlike those who remain spiritually unborn and under the corruption and death of the first Adam. People are essentially, spiritually dead until they give their lives to Jesus Christ. The first Adam died, and all of humanity is hence dead, until the second Adam rises from the dead, defeating death itself through the perfect observance of God's law. Jesus Christ did that, and hence is the second Adam who saves us from death and destruction. Place your trust in Him and live.

So you're a Christian.
Who cares?

But not really? Yes, Mormons are the only true Christian because they are The Church of Jesus Christ. The Latter-day Saints is to differentiate between the Saints of Jesus time and our time.

Nope. Mormonism is a pseudo-Christian cult, just like Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science, etc. founded by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. For one thing, the Canon of Scripture was closed at the Book of Revelation and John issued a warning concerning anyone adding or subtracting from the Book. Second, G-d's plan of Salvation does not include works as a condition for entrance into His Kingdom. Third, Mormonism equates man (a created being) with G-d (The Sovereign Creator Himself), and that's outright blasphemy. No, Mormonism is NOT true Christianity.

Nope. It’s just as I said. It’s The Church of Jesus Christ. It’s restored Israel.
