Absolutely correct!! It is doubtful any republicans will be voting for Obama. the name of the game is independents. the candidate in the general who has the most independent voters wins. independents tend to be center-right but certainly not loony right. And they are sick and tired of Obamanics!! Newt is the smartest guy in the room.

I think Newt is playing the liberal media..

He picks the issue and their forced to show outrage at something they agree with, they look foolish.

and he ends up looking like a reasonable conservative to the independents.
