What the FUCK is wrong with some of these GOP people?

Granted they are trying to push Akin out for his tremendously stupid comments about rape but then they turn around and adopt abortion as a front end plank at the convention.

SERIOUSLY?????? Are we this god damn stupid? We should have this election in the bag based on the economic performance of this administration. So what do we do? Change the subject from FAILED POLICIES to social issues that before a couple days ago were not even spoke of. Issues that thanks to Akin we WILL LOSE on.

This has got to be one of the dumbest moves of the GOP leaders in years if not decades. This election was ours to lose and we just shot ourselves in the foot.

No, Grampa, from your posts you are not this Goddamned stupid, but all too many in the GOP are. Yes, on this and tax rates for the wealthy, the GOP will not gain the Presidency this election, and will still be in the minority in the Senate.

Now look carefully at some of the other stances by the Teabaggers that are making the calls in your party. Before 6Nov12, I would bet that one of them will say something equally stupid on a hot button social topic.

If you have not noticed the liberal left is once again changing the subject. The Republicans need to divorce themselves from his statement which was indeed a very poor choice of words. This will blow over, no one is forgetting the disaster of the last 3 1/2 years. I think everyone has pretty much made up their minds already about if they will support 3 1/2 years of disaster or not. And those who have not their pay check and gasoline bills will decide for them. Some unfortunate words from a Senate candidate that no one had heard of isn't going to change the over 8 percent unemployment by one any amount.

The whole of the GOP just endorsed Akin's position in their platform for the coming campaign. You think this is going to blow over with that in the platform? Wanna buy some seafront property in Colorado?

Things like this should be expected with control of the entire party in the hands of the extreme right. There aren't any moderates left to put a stop to the zealotry.

Expressing a moderate view in the present GOP immediatly gets one tagged a RINO, and pushed aside, or completely out of the party.

I just don't get it. We have soooooo many real challenges facing our nation and we get side tracked on this damn issue every four years. No wonder we're in such a fucking mess. We worry about the table setting and no one orders the food.

Huh? WTF does that mean?

Pretty obvious I thought. We focus on all the superficial issues that never go away and put the important shit on the back burner till it's foegotten

But that has been the intent of the GOP for the last two years. Nothing but obstruction, and zero constructive ideas. Number one goal is to defeat President Obama in 2012, and if we have to break the nation in order to do that, so what?

Now you are beginning to reap the whirlwind.

IMO, protecting life is a huge step in getting our economy back up and running. God Blesses those that honor him.

Glad to see it as part of the plank again this election.

Pro-Life, Pro-Business, Pro-Marriage, Pro-Jobs

And, obviously, Pro giving President Obama a second term, and Pro the senate continueing to have a Democratic majority.

The Romney campaign started off doing just that. What do you think happened?

I see, you go with the damn if he does and damned if he doesn't smear.

Have no idea what you mean by that.

I am sooo looking forward to the XXX rated GOP RAPE Convention in Tampa next week. Will it be like a drunken Playboy Christmas party? Remember to put the kids to bed early.

BTW, if anyone gets raped at the convention, are they allowed to complain about it? After all, wouldn't the rapists just be trying to create some more "admirable human beings"...?

Now it's a rape convention is it? Now GOP are pro rape? You've really earned a message board permanent swine status.

Yep, the GOP RAPE Convention! You reap what you sow...

Wow you liberals are so upset by rape you punish them with community service!!!!!!!!!!! That'll teach em!!!!!!!!!!!

Gosh you think people are stupid. It wasn't that his stand was wrong it was his wording, it wasn't very good. The republican party from its inception has fought for freedom and protection. From forming to end the democrat practice of slavery to fighting to protect the most innocent the Republican party has not wavered. What some say is moving right is merely the left moving so far left that the center has moved.

I'm raising the bullshit flag on this one.

His stand was wrong, can't really blame the wording this round.

No, you're stupid if you don't get yet why this was so offensive.

Here's a little something that might help if you care to read it, though:

What bullshit! Too funny. Pro life has been part of the Republican Party Platform for decades.

Trying to play this up as some grand new scheme by the GOP truly makes liberals look really stupid.

Like what? Just yesterday the GOP decided be be pro life? Just yesterday the GOP decided it didn't like abortion?

If anyone didn't know that the GOP was pro life then they just crawled out from under a rock or are complete freaking morons.
