Insecure whites are playing the oppressed race card to hide their fear of having a black president who might bring justice to non-whites, the kind of justice that was historically denied to non-whites.

I'm totally in favor of justice being blind - not biased towards or against any individual based on their color, race or creed. What we don't need is a black President tipping the scale in favor of blacks. That is equally as wrong as a white President tipping it in favor of whites.

The problem is that insecure whites think giving justice, long overdue justice, to blacks is favoritism for blacks and racism against whites because the same isn't done for whites. Both my family as far back as it goes NEVER OWNED SLAVES!

On my mother's side they were from Ireland, who fled to Scotland when Catholics persecuted Protestants there. Then they fled to America to escape the same kind of persecution in Scotland. THEN one of the women of those people married a Deleware Indian Chief in the US, who was kicked out of his tribe for being a Christian. My family is still known by His last name. The Indian who founded a White family. They settled in Ohio, to raise (yes, it's true) turkeys. It's all true. Not one slave.

My father's side came to the US in the late 1800's long after slavery. Was quite rich, but due to the failure of banks in those days, didn't trust them. Hid his money in the house. House burned down, killed him, and left the survivors destitute.

Not one slave.

But my family sure knows what it is to be persecuted for one's religion. You don't see me running around acting like the world owes me something for it. Or any president of the same religion can't be criticized because otherwise it's some bigotry.

So, stuff your self righteousness. It's a new day. I don't owe my family's persecutors anything, and they don't owe me anything.

To do otherwise, is just excuse making for why you don't have to stand on your own two feet.
