A lot of folks have an interest in learning about other cultures. And they don’t speak poorly about the histories of other countries. But there is a phenomenon with some people most of them I believe are lefties who speak with hatred one might say….and with total disregard and disrespect of the history of white people, the history of America and The history of European Christians.
As a white Christian man, I have an interest in Jewish, African, Muslim, Arab and Asian history. I think it’s really interesting to study the history of these people. I believe in respecting the history of non-white, and non-Christian people. It’s healthy. It truly is very healthy and beneficial. I can’t imagine what it’s like to wake up every day denigrating the culture or history of people who don’t look like me or are of a different religion.
Obviously, we all know and understand that slavery was a worldwide issue. We all descend from slaves and slave owners.
Why do some people think it’s normal or healthy to suggest that the white man was evil toward the black man in the USA, that European colonialism harmed indigenous peoples. Most of if not all of the people who say this are hypocrites because they do not talk about other groups of people who own slaves, or who engage in warfare. They will blame white folks, or Europeans for the struggle of modern-day African countries…. They will blame white people for struggles of some modern day blacks in America.
While it is true that at times, white folks mistreated non-whites, that is certainly clearly not the entire story. Same for how non-white people treated white people.
I think it’s fair to say that right wing demonization of Jews, Muslims, Arabs, non-white people essentially is something that does exist. But I just don’t think it is nearly as powerful or lucrative as the opposite.
