I am angry at the way my hospital has gone all quantity vs quality giving free medical care they missed my illness of throwing up for 30 days which is spread allover me. because of being so busy trying to get people through being it is the law that they have to treat you even if you don't have insurance.. I will never go there again..it was awful. I do not support that..

The lies about UAW benefits have been debunked many times. The comparison are between US Auto Workers in Detroit vs. the South, not Detroit vs. Japan. Yes, there are higher liabilities because we have more retirees we are supporting than they do, as most of their US Plants have only been operating for 30 years or so. On top of that, since they have state health care compared to employer health care, it's really apples and oranges.

I provided two sources. Would you like me to post some FactCheck too? If you read the article, it was between the UAW and Japan unions.

Our legacy costs and early retirement is what helped kill our automotive industry. I ran into a guy I knew as a kid. He told me about another friend of ours he stayed in touch with all these years. He retired at the age of 45 from the UAW with a great pension and medical benefits. It's not that unusual of a story either.

Beyond that, I have much more personal experience with the UAW than you do. They used to be the laziest assholes I ever ran into. My employer quit taking UAW deliveries because he couldn't tie up a truck for a half a day or more for UAW workers to do the job any other receiver could do in a half-hour. Sure, we charged layover time, and the auto companies had no choice but to pay it. But did the union worker care? Hell no. I worked for a company one time that made parts for an auto plant. They'd call in "hot rushes." Well, hot rushes cost much more money than regular manufacturing and delivery. I would take those parts to the plant, and two days later when I made a regular delivery, those same parts were still sitting on the dock.

Again, guy, the real problem is you have a skill that can be taught in a week... And in 40 years, you've never bothered to get additional skills, and judging by how much time you spend here, I suspect you probably don't do all that much driving.

But it's all the government's fault you are a loser. Keep telling yourself that.

Joe, if you ever had to back a trailer into a dock, you'd probably piss yourself. There are drivers out there that still can't hit a dock for the life of them; mostly foreign drivers.

It's not just learning the job, it's being able to do it proficiently. That means no accidents, little points, and few CSA 2010 points. You can lose your job because of too many points due to insurance costs. One DUI in your car, and you lost your career for several years. We only get one license--a CDL. That one license is the only one you have, so anything you do in your car or truck goes on that license.

I'm on the road 10 times more than you on the average week, and that means ten times more likely to get a ticket or in an accident, and I bet I still have a much better driving record than you.

Yes, there is a reason, and that reason (as my former mechanic explained) is that because of the huge labor costs, auto companies had to get some of that money somewhere, and that somewhere was cheaper parts. Pay the floor sweepers $75.00 an hour in wages and benefits but install the cheapest water pump on the market, the cheapest belts, the cheapest tire rims, the cheapest power steering pump.

My Toyota Camry came with a seven year, 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. They could never make out on such a warranty if they used cheap parts like American companies did. I worked two jobs that I was forced to join the union for back in the 70's and early 80's. However my real union experience is delivering to union places; most of which closed down now. I could write a book on my experiences with union workers.

If I went to a place I never heard of before, I could tell you in five minutes if they were union or not based on how they worked. Non-union guys would have me unloaded in 30 to 40 minutes tops. Union guys, I could be there for hours.
