Trump Signed the Pledge

He's actually run four things. Right into the ground, bankrupt.

Nonsense. Out of about 140 various investment deals he has made in his career, he had to file for debt restructuring on 4 of them. He did not "run them in the ground" ...Babe Ruth struck out every once in a while. Nolan Ryan lost a save now and then. Muhammad Ali's record was 56-5... He had more losses and much more frequently than Trump!

The experience one get's as a law maker and a teacher of constitutional law is certainly more applicable to the job of the president than selling real estate.

Trump has done a little more than "sell real estate" and I think we've had plenty of presidents who weren't law makers or teachers of constitutional law before. In Trump's case, I think that might be where a lot of his support is coming from... the 91% who are fed up with Congress.

As for the personal jabs at his being a TV celeb... other presidents have endured that and worse. Jackson was a bigamist, his wife was a prostitute.... Adams was a pimp who married a whore... Franklin Pierce was light in the loafers... Truman was a hayseed who never went to college... FDR had fucking Polio! ...Kennedy was a Catholic... Carter was a peanut farmer... Reagan was an actor... Bush was a Shrub!

Think of how much more enjoyable SNL is going to be with Trump as President! ;)

And how many of them ran for POTUS?
I uh, don't think running a business into bankruptcy is analagous to "striking out". And FTR Nolan Ryan blew exactly two saves in 27 years (he wasn't a relief pitcher). That's exactly half the number of bankRumped businesses. And Rump did it in way less time.

Oh and how many of those guys threw a hissyfit when an analyst predicted his casino would go belly-up and got him fired, and the analyst turned out to be exactly right?

Oh and how many of them sued the county because they didn't like planes flying over their estate? :gay:

Oh and how many of them sued a writer for not quoting his material wealth high enough?

Sorry, I'd rather have a fucking adult in the White House.

The experience one get's as a law maker and a teacher of constitutional law is certainly more applicable to the job of the president than selling real estate. Among those who came to the presidency with legislative experience were Lincoln, Jackson, Truman, and Kennedy. Sorry no real estate salesman or reality TV personality stars on the list.
You make me wonder when you are going to descend from your ivory tower to face reality… When you touch the ground again you will notice that the public sentiment is that anybody and I mean anybody would be a better president than we have now. So your real estate rhetoric won't really work but naturally you are free to repeat it over and over again.
Since currently 45% of the voters approve of Obama's job performance, your statement is clearly an exaggeration. By comparison our last president left office with a 29% job approval rating.

You really think a career in real estate and staring in a reality TV show is good experience for the Presidency of the United States? I have to admit his experience should make his news conference entertaining if not informative.

Now that Trump has pledged his support to the GOP, I would like to see all of the GOP candidates sign a pledge to support him if he is the nominee.

Yet we have never had a president that had absolutely no experience in government. Every president has been either a governor, legislator, or military commander. The closest Trump has come to any public service has been to line the pockets of politician with political contributions.

I had a boss that was a lot like Trump. He had no knowledge at all of the business. Everyone that disagreed with him was stupid. He never understood anything we wrote and made bad decisions because he had neither the knowledge nor experience he needed. He lasted a year which is about how long I would give Trump before Congress canned his ass.

That's what's in the pledge. All the major candidates have signed or plan to sign the pledge.

“I, [name], affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for President of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is,” it reads. “I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”

That's true, however baseball has been a popular sport in Cuba for over a hundred fifty years. Baseball was introduce in Cuba in 1860's about 40 or 50 years after it was first played in the US. The Cuban League was organized in 1878 about 10 years after the first league was formed in the US.

What Obama did or didn't do is IRRELEVANT. He is leaving office. We are concerned now with people who MIGHT get into that position and it would be stupid to vote for someone who we know in advance would not honor his word just because someone who no longer is in office didn't do what we thought they would.

Obama is NOT running for office.

Not even a nice try.

But, by all means, continue displaying your low information status to one and all on the internet.

really, and how much does the constitution mean to Obama and his party of snakes?
