OH? Well, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics National Crime Survey for 1988, there were 1,300,000 gun related crimes in that year.
According to the BJS’ National Criminal Victimization Survey y for 2013, there were only290,620 gun related crimes in 2013.
That is a 77.6 percent decline in gun related crime in 25 years. Years in which the United States population increased by fifty million people, and Americans took home almost 200 million new guns.
