‘They didn’t stand up to Trump’: how the Republican party descended into disarray

They did something. Sided with democrats at every turn against the wishes of their voters.

Refused to hold BLM and ANTIFA accountable for the riots. And went along with the COVID lockdown farce.
Don't forget Fauci and the vaccines. Trump pushed all that through and kept Fauci in place.

Trump controls congress, thats why its a shambles.
Tell us how Trump controls Congress Tommy.

Is he on the phone in between indictment hearings?

Now it is true the Orange man sleeps under your bed at night.

Just say'in.

Yeah, that's what's happened.

Most of the party didn't take him seriously because they knew what a clown he is. Same with the press. What they didn't understand was how full of manipulated rage and paranoia the base was, and that Trump was speaking directly and exclusively to them, in their language, 24/7. The louder and stupider he got, the more caveman he got, the uglier he got, the more they liked it.

This is about emotion -- rage, frustration, paranoia. And that's turned into a bizarre, quasi-religious movement. As another poster here has said, he took one look at the talk radio crowd and said "THIS is gonna be EASY".

Wow. She can actually vote.

There's a lot of that out there. A lot.
Our lot had a go at that pseudo religious crap but it hasnt had any traction yet. Mainly because its fans are certifiable.
Johnson excorcisd any normal cons when they refused to back his brexit nonsense.
The next tory leader will get rid of the remaining ones who want to keep the Geneva convention and other "outmoded elitist oppression".

GLORY !!!

Yeah, there are a TON of churches who have run with him, saying that he was sent by God.

I just don't get it. It's impossible to explain. I don't know how they can do this.

And with THIS guy, of all people.
These white rappers are crazy.

âThey didnât stand up to Trumpâ: how the Republican party descended into disarray An interesting article on the path to chaos for the GOP.

McCarthy’s nemesis was Matt Gaetz, a Florida congressman egged on by former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, who hosts an influential podcast (Gaetz was a guest on it a day after McCarthy’s demise). Critics say Gaetz is taking advantage of an era in which, instead of working their way up the ranks one committee at a time, politicians can build their brand, “go viral” and raise money by flaunting their extremism in the rightwing media ecosystem.

Rich Lowry, editor-in-chief of National Review magazine, wrote: “Republican backbenchers used to be people such as Jack Kemp and Paul Ryan, who became something by promoting ideas that they carefully developed, sincerely believed, and persuaded their colleagues to embrace. Now, the emphasis is on becoming a micro-celebrity via constant outrage.”

It sounds like the path that our own conservatives have taken. The people with ability have walked away. joined other parties or just given up. It leads to a vacuum where those who shout the loudest are heard.

But where do ideas come from when the only people left are functional morons ?

So here is the chaos coalition. Voting next for Gym Jordan, a man who is a J6 conspirator. A terrorist. A Himmler to Trumps Hitler

However in the land of the blind a one eyed man is king and compared to many of his coleagues Jordan is almost sentient.

The GOP embraced trump and decent people left. They lost young people and have a declining base that believes in fairy tales.

Its worrying for the US and also for the wider world.

OK, Trump is a POS, but his plans were mostly good.

'Its worrying for the US and also for the wider world.'

What is worrying is the dems perpetual control of America, not Trump.

Trump was a life long democrat before deciding to run for President.

In fact, he almost ran for President 10 years prior and aske Oprah to be his VP.

At that time, he made fun of then Pat Buchanon who was a conservative who wanted to secure the border, calling him a xenophobe and a racist.

In other words, Trump is one of you silly.

The Federal government has always been run by the radical left.
tRump is not a Rethugikkkon or a Dimicrat! He is a straight up grifting opportunist!

Guess what, Homie? Mark Meadows has been granted immunity in the J6 case. Now you & the rest of you willfully stupid Trump worshippers can wipe your ass with Meadows' book where he claimed the election was stolen.

Guess what? He told Jack Smith the total opposite, CLOWN. :abgg2q.jpg:

This judge has no problem standing up to him.

A judge on Wednesday fined former President Donald Trump $10,000 for violating the gag order in his $250 million New York business fraud trial.

Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron ordered Trump to the witness stand and questioned him about comments he made outside of the courtroom.

The surprise calling of Trump to the witness stand came amid the second day of testimony from Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney and fixer, who faced a barrage of attacks about his credibility as a witness.
