âThey didnât stand up to Trumpâ: how the Republican party descended into disarray An interesting article on the path to chaos for the GOP.

McCarthy’s nemesis was Matt Gaetz, a Florida congressman egged on by former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, who hosts an influential podcast (Gaetz was a guest on it a day after McCarthy’s demise). Critics say Gaetz is taking advantage of an era in which, instead of working their way up the ranks one committee at a time, politicians can build their brand, “go viral” and raise money by flaunting their extremism in the rightwing media ecosystem.

Rich Lowry, editor-in-chief of National Review magazine, wrote: “Republican backbenchers used to be people such as Jack Kemp and Paul Ryan, who became something by promoting ideas that they carefully developed, sincerely believed, and persuaded their colleagues to embrace. Now, the emphasis is on becoming a micro-celebrity via constant outrage.”

It sounds like the path that our own conservatives have taken. The people with ability have walked away. joined other parties or just given up. It leads to a vacuum where those who shout the loudest are heard.

But where do ideas come from when the only people left are functional morons ?

So here is the chaos coalition. Voting next for Gym Jordan, a man who is a J6 conspirator. A terrorist. A Himmler to Trumps Hitler

However in the land of the blind a one eyed man is king and compared to many of his coleagues Jordan is almost sentient.

The GOP embraced trump and decent people left. They lost young people and have a declining base that believes in fairy tales.

Its worrying for the US and also for the wider world.

Go fix your own shithole country.

Curtsy your king, Queen.

What does that say about Trump ? That he just likes being king but doesnt want to put in the work.
Trump was a life long democrat before deciding to run for President.

In fact, he almost ran for President 10 years prior and aske Oprah to be his VP.

At that time, he made fun of then Pat Buchanon who was a conservative who wanted to secure the border, calling him a xenophobe and a racist.

In other words, Trump is one of you silly.

:auiqs.jpg:

The Federal government has always been run by the radical left.

Under Trump, the GOP had full control of government for 2 years and did NOTHING

Let that sink in kids
Largely because a significant number of supposed Republicans pledged to disrupt, stop or otherwise interfere with Trump’s agenda in every possible way. This was due to the fact that these RINOs should actually be part of the Democrat Party.

Yeah, that's what's happened.

Most of the party didn't take him seriously because they knew what a clown he is. Same with the press. What they didn't understand was how full of manipulated rage and paranoia the base was, and that Trump was speaking directly and exclusively to them, in their language, 24/7. The louder and stupider he got, the more caveman he got, the uglier he got, the more they liked it.

This is about emotion -- rage, frustration, paranoia. And that's turned into a bizarre, quasi-religious movement. As another poster here has said, he took one look at the talk radio crowd and said "THIS is gonna be EASY".
