I'm sure Republicans have "alternate" numbers. They usually "pull them" out of a place that is dark and damp. Some refer to that place as an "alternate universe". Others call that place by a different name.

And looking at the figures I linked to, we know why the enormous debt.

You want a real hoot? Got to Fox News and read what they say about Bush's budget. They try to sugar coat it, but can't really.

Bush didn't include the cost of either war in his budget. Bush included an estimated trillion dollar cut from Medicare and Medicaid that he had to know Congress would never approve. Bush didn't include the more than 700 billion stimulus package that he didn't keep any track of.

What Obama did was include the cost of both wars. Include the cost of Bush's stimulus package. Take out the ridiculous cuts Bush put in as part of his "fiscal lie to the American People". Suddenly, Obama's budget was much larger than Bush's. Because Bush lied. The right has to know that but they will deny it. They are such a bunch of lemmings.

You sound as if you think Obama is not spending like a drunken sailor. Bush is no longer President. It is Obama that should be stopped now.

Get a fuckin' grip on reality. The Boy King is a Marxist...set about to bring Marxism/Socialism/Communism to the USA by way of economic control. Tax and spend, borrow and spend, spend, spend, spend. Pass laws that sound good but have to be paid for later...force our grandchildren to work for the government.

You are BLIND, DEAF and DUMB!

The simple arithmatic of why rdean dropped out of school when he was 10.

1993 Clinton took office with a 4.1 trillion dollar national debt.

January of 2001 Clinton left office with a 5.27 trillion dollar national debt.

5.27 - 4.1 = 1.17 trillion dollars.
All figures can be found at treasurydirect.gov instead of a left wing loon website that appeals to the easily duped...such as rdean and his classmate edthedumbfuck for example...
rdean and edthedumbfuck went to the same school....Shithead Elementary followed by Loser Junior High. Obviously rdean's strong suit isn't 1st grade math.

and to add dishonesty to rdean's distorted sense of reality in bizzarro world would be a compliment but I must digress...ed thinks 5.27 - 4.1 = .6

Before you throw this red herring out there for other dupes like you let's get this out in the open....the BUDGET surplus doesn't have anything to do with the National Debt.

Government - Historical Debt Outstanding - Annual 2000 - 2009

You might want to review that a little more.

2000 when Bush took office:

09/30/2000 5,674,178,209,886.86

2008 when Bush left office:

09/30/2008 10,024,724,896,912.49

2009 since Obama has been President:

09/30/2009 11,909,829,003,511.75

Hardly looks like 4 times greater. We also know that the Republicans didn't include the cost of either war in the budget and included a trillion dollars in Medicare and Medicaid cuts that were never going to happen to lower the budget figure. In effect, to "lie" to the American people. Wow, it's not like they have never done THAT before.

Now the question becomes, "During the 8 years Republicans were in charge of American wealth, what did they spend it on?" They didn't clean up New Orleans. They didn't work on America's infra structure. They didn't reform health care. They didn't win two wars. They didn't get Bin Laden. Where did the money go?

AND,

They accuse Obama of spending like a drunken sailor. ON WHAT? What has he spent money on? He kept us from having a financial meltdown (uh, caused by the way, by Republican fiscal polices) and he did it only raising the debt by between 10 and 20%.

Just one question, "What the hell IS a Republcian fiscal policy?" I think I know. Isn't it tax cuts for the rich and screw everyone else?

What is wrong with you guys. Republicans stripped this country of it's wealth and tried desperately to flush the world economy down the drain, and they feel the job is NOT DONE.

Have you done the math on your own figures here? Rounding things off to the nearest million. Gives Obama 1 trillion, 885 Billion, 105 million in debt. That would be nearly 2 trillion dollars And you don't even have a clue what he has spent it on? 2 Trillion dollars? What the hell..........

And that may or may not include the nearly trillion that we have collected back from the Bush bank bailouts. If it does that's nearly 3 trillion spent in debt.

Sorry rdean...that GED you got from BB Brain online has led you down the wrong path once again. I specifically challenged you on Clinton's numbers and you immediately run to Bush's numbers.......typical of the left wing loons.

Where in my post did I make any claims about "4 times greater"...I just exposed you and huffington for the dishonest pinheads you are with regards to your hero B.J. Clinton.

Why is it you and those like you constantly blame the U.S. for all of the worlds problems? I just don't get this self flaggellation by the extremists on the left. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If you hate it here so much, you are free to renounce your citizenship and move to wherever you choose.

Actually, the numbers came from Office of Management and Budget (OMB), but were listed on the Huffington post site.

From Clinton to Bush to Obama. Isn't that what it's all about? A comparison? You can't just attack, attack, attack. You have to make a comparison to understand who to support.

The truth is Republicans simply won't take a bit of responsibility for the mess they have left. None. And what's worse, they don't have any plans to clean up their mess and never did.

I speak of the Republican claim that Obama quadrupled the debt because the claim is repeated so many times.

wapoobamabudget1.jpg

Bush never included the cost of either war and he included a projected slashing of Medicare and Medicaid by over a trillion dollars as well as convieniently leaving out the 1.3 trillion in tax cuts.

The truth is, Republicans want Obama to "fail".

The Iraq invasion and occupation numbers were not included because Cheney told all of us that the oil revenues would more than pay for the actions. Anyone seen that check, yet?

Before you throw this red herring out there for other dupes like you let's get this out in the open....the BUDGET surplus doesn't have anything to do with the National Debt.

In 1980? Reagan took office iwth under 1 trillion in debt. And then GHWB then Clowntoon took office with a 4.1 trillion debt?

You are ignoring critical parts of the puzzle.
