The stimulus worked, end the DEPRESSION AND THE RECESSION, technically, but it wasn't big enought to get jobs going again, so we need a jobs bill. If we'd done this in 2010 we;d be out of this NOW- but Pubs have blocked EVERYTHING since 1/2010, fear mongered NHC etc etc etc etc etc. Feg em!

Subsidizing union jobs and/or the pension plans of unions is not a stimulative measure. Building roads is not stimulative. There is no added value in that and, in truth, much of the original value is lost due to the WAY the funds are distributed.

The economy actually got stimulated when the "Cash for Clunkers" program was under way because there was a stimulative effect. The government offered some money to induce the spending of money by the private sector. When this program ended, so did the stimulative effects of the Failed Stimulus. Check the economic numbers and you will find that the economy picked up around this time and tanked shortly afterward again.

ALL OF THE OTHER FAILED STIMULUS DOLLARS WERE WASTED IN TERMS OF STIMULUS.

By the standards of the Obamabots, they were not wasted, though, because they did exactly what they were supposed to do: Subsidize wasteful and inefficient union jobs, union workers' pension plans and unions that contribute to Democrat candidates.

Less than 10% of the population benefited from the Failed Stimulus and the rest of us are paying for it. Because it was all done with borrowed money, we will be paying for for generations.

The way I have heard what they say is that the ideas, programs and goals of Obama are hurtful to the economic health and strength of the United States. They have pledged to try to stop him him from achieving his stated ideas, goals and plans as a result.

If some Jack Ass was promising to help you improve yourself, but his plan was to cut off your legs and feed them to you, you might want to stop him from implementing his plan. Those who heard only his promise to help might wonder why you were opposing his plan.

While I agree with you that the GnOP will never do anything to help the country as long as Barack Obama is President, I don't see letting the hostage takers shoot people as the solution.

It doesn't do any good to have a spectacular quarterback with a crappy front line protecting him. Believe me, I've often had that same "they've fucked this shit up, let them fix it "attitude, but we KNOW that they will just continue the disastrous Bush policies that got us here in the first place.
