I know he's not going to be the RNC nominee or the president this time around. But I want to make a few points on this issue.

IF Ron hadn't been "cancelled," what we're seeing now from DeSantis, which is pretty much the same thing we've been seeing from him, is what we'd be seeing as a president. The way he's getting things done. The way he helps to keep his party in the majority, so that he can get good things done in FL. He's on a 7 year winning streak of getting the right things done.
He's smart enough to know which levers to push. Which people to surround himself with to help get things done.
And the end result is, the wants and needs of the FL citizens are being met.
From weeding out woke prosecutors who are lax on crime & criminals. To getting those LGBT people and their agenda out of school.
Putting Americans first in his state. Helping first responders & teachers. Cutting or eliminating taxes.
And doing it all within budget.

What we're going to see with Trump, is the same thing we've been seeing since he was elected in 2016. Being at odds with his own party. And getting dog piled and constantly beaten by the democrats. Whining, crying and blaming everyone else because he can't get anything done. Tons of baggage. Lots of legal problems. And no one to help him with any of it, because of his own ego. An ego so big, that he thinks he should have total presidential immunity. Which would be as close to having a king as this country has had since before the revolutionary war.
And in the end, nothing getting done. The country deeper in debt. Increase inflation. More jobs outsourced, the border still not secure. And BRICS even closer to forming the next global reserve currency.
Oh, and his revenge fantasy blowing up in his face, because he's not smart enough to make the right decisions or pick the right people to help make those decisions.

With DeSantis, we could've had a Conservative. With Trump, all we're going to get is a left leaning Republican. Just like Mike Johnson or Mitt Romney.

DeSantis couldn't win dog-catcher anywhere in America at this point.

Stick a fork in him, he's done.

If DeSantis would have been the nominee, he would be wiping the floor with Biden in the polls.
The only way for an 81 year old who has flooded the country with the third-world to win re-election, is having Trump as his opponent.

Yeah, I pointed this out a couple of weeks ago. Cult 45 doesn't want to hear it. They would rather have a nominee with a proven record of losses who constantly lies to them, embarrasses himself, and is embroiled in endless legal controversies, because that's now the winning formula, apparently.

He wasn't cancelled. He was unlikeable. He came off as a borderline fascist.
He thought he was going take the MAGA vote from Trump and Trump handed him his ass.
Ron's permanently damaged his brand. I liken him to Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio. Neither will ever run for President again. :)

Trump is the popular guy because Trump has the charisma.

Trump also does not need to campaign due to his notoriety. much of what he gets free of charge in the media. And although the coverage is mostly negative in the media, as they say, any press is good press. Put that together with the growing hate for the DNC and the direction of the country and the persecution of Trump and what you have is an inescapable winner for the GOP nomination.

There is nothing DeSantis could have done to fight all this.

The Trump cancel culture cancelled him. Making up lies about him constantly. Calling him groomer, a Bushie, or making up lies about him being tied to Rove.

Anything and everything to discredit him.

Even though, months before the discussion of him being a presidential candidate, the Trump supporters loved him. Was hoping he'd be Trumps VP. Talking about all the winning that he was accomplishing in FL. Then, suddenly he was bad. He was a soro's funded guy. And all the other BS the TCC (Trump Cancel Culture) could dream up.

Jesus himself couldn't have gotten the nomination over Trump.

Desantis should have been smart enough to go for VP. Then take his own 8 yr run and try to carry on Trumps common sense American prosperity policiy.

He might not have turned it down, had Trump not bashed him as much as he did. DeSanctimonious? The groomer innuendo Trump threw at him. Not endorsing Ron in his 2022 gov election? After Ron was the biggest fund raiser for Trump, of all the governors in the USA, in 2020.
Trump demands loyalty or those he's slandered.

I don't think many Trump supporters realize just how much Trump bashed DeSantis, even as far back as 2022. Long before the discussion of DeSantis for president came up.

No. Being Trump's VP is a bad idea for anyone with aspirations of being elected president after Trump's term in office.

He was a governor that went to war with one of his state's biggest employers over their perceived political slight to him. A business that brings in millions of dollars in revenue in taxes and fees and employs thousands of Floridians. Being a voter, I wouldn't want that jackass anywhere near the Oval Office.

He failed as a candidate because he was wishy-washy and completely unlikeable.
He also would have never conceded to be Trump's VP.

All that charisma means nothing after the election. Then what's expected is getting the job done. Winning. Stopping the democrats and their agenda's. Getting things done that the GOP elected him to do.
That's where Trump fails. He failed at if for 4 years.

But according to Trump supporters, and Trump, it wasn't his fault that he couldn't get something as simple as repealing the ACA. It was always someone else's fault. Constantly playing the victim card.
It got me to thinking, who actually wrote the book, "The art of the deal." Because it wasn't Trump.

only AFTER Desantis bashed him I thought? RD could have approached Trump before all if that. Earn your spot, not think you can bash wounded Trump and takeover. Trump is being harrased after the stolen election. Yet Silent Ron chose to try to fit in with derp state against Trump. I’d still forgive him…..as working VP right now.

To be fair, the GOP is a nonentity, a shell of opposition.

They are just there to blame for everything and anything that goes wrong

To suggest there is an opposition party is incorrect.

They can't even find it in themselves to impeach Mayorkas or Biden.

Their only plight is when to fire their Speaker.
