Stanford Rape Case: Does Anyone Know the Full Story?

Rape is rape and all should be punished according to the law...HOWEVER....nothing is more slutty that white girls and sadly, the days of Beaver and Wally and Mary-Ann are over and these women want to act like sluts and party with nigga's and nasty white boys, expect to be treated like sluts.

One of the problems that I have observed with officials of Santa Clara County is that they tend to be religious nutcases.

And, the problem with any religious nutcases is that they think it is a OK to rape a woman who in their opinion acts like a slut. Their sense of right or wrong is based on their callous religion not progressive humanism.

he was convicted on her account that she "blacked out" -----sheeesh---she was drank lots and then LAY HERSELF DOWN----behind dumpster? --------she must have been really sauced. Long ago----when I was in college I DECIDED to try to get drunk---(which would have been a new experience for me) I drank and drank that which was served---wine. One of the boys offered to walk me back to my dorm room---since I could barely stand----the WALLS seemed to be wavering and trying to hit me. I ANSWERED---"I'm NOT THAT DRUNK" I do not believe that she drank herself into SUCH A STUPOR that she had to lie down by a dumpster------frat houses have couches------as I recall------not such clean couches----but better than a dumpster

I guess that's what they call "falling-down drunk"

no----being drunk is not like that-----I have been drunk a few times------one does not lose his personality------a slob who roams the streets---gets drunk in the gutter and starts roaming around in the gutter----might end up behind a dumpster-----SHE STARTED OUT AT A PARTY----

I read that two Swedish students intervened to stop the man during the rape.
He tried to run away, and they had to hold him until police arrived.
The woman was visibly unconscious, described as lifeless and limp,
and the last time she was conscious was at the party.

The problem is that if you argue he chose to drink and got himself impaired,
the lawyer for the defense will still try to slam the victim for doing the same.
But she did not consent, and he forced himself on her. So it's different.

One of the former classmates who wrote a letter in the man's defense,
simply trying to verify that his character while sober was nothing like this,
later was apologetic for not getting the rest of the information. The witnesses
described it as him being on top of her while she was clearly unconscious
and even had abrasions.

If you drive drunk, even if reckless dangerous or criminal behavior is not your normal state, you are still responsible for damages and deaths you cause while impaired.

The law does not require the other people affected by your drunk driving to be sober.

I will start another thread to focus on the victim statements in seeking
more serious justice for rape victims instead of what's happening now
where it is hard to prove cases. In this case, there are reliable witnesses
who have no vested interest toward either side, but intervened quickly
to stop the assault as it was occurring. The man should be grateful
it was stopped, because had he continued and she ended up dying there,
he would also face that for the rest of his life. At least the witnesses saved
her, and also allow testimony to what happened since both people were impaired.
The man was conscious but the woman was completely gone and didn't regain consciousness
until after she was in the hospital. Thank God for those two Swedish students who happened
to be riding by on their bikes.

Renews my faith in humanity that somebody gives a damn.
They all have a chance of recovery thanks to people doing the right thing.
Overall, given that someone could have died, and we'd just let this problem continue.

But the victim spoke out publicly, thanks to Social Media, and now other
rape victims are speaking out. So a lot more is at stake than this one case.
All the people coming forward, especially rape victims who never saw justice,
may actually get a movement going to end this scourge of shuffling cases
under the rug because they usually can't be argued or proven effectively
using the given legal process and culture. If people push back in outrage
as the people rose up in India and other places, this rape culture can end.

Not just rapes but in addition, perhaps other crimes related to bullying to
sexual harassment, and also drunkenness without a designated person
to stop driving, rape, etc. We can do better, and thank God the people here
all seem to care enough to prevent any such thing from happening to others.
Even the family of the man knows he knows better, and can reach out and
prevent anyone else from falling into this same horrible trap, too often ending in death.

They should be glad the woman didn't die but they all have a chance to
recover, reach out and stop all the problems and causes related to this case.

I applaud all of them for wanting to reach out and change things, and have
faith this will succeed, by standing together and accepting social responsible.

Thank you to all the people who are going to make sure things change!
This can launch the final movement, because so many people are speaking out.
My thanks, prayers and support to all for pulling together and
making sure that positive lasting changes
come out of a such a tragic horrifying assault and the aftermath.
So that the suffering of rape victims silenced for so long
is not in vain, but they finally see everyone unite for justice, restitution and prevention.
