Socialism and Environmentalism: A History

This is a bizarre post. The environmentalist movement is small in numbers and has a very minimal effect on industry. I'm not sure what you want PC. No regulations? Can you imagine the conseque3nces of that? Imagine what corporations would do if they could. Americans don't want to live in an environment like China where one needs a mask to walk around outside I don't agree with the environmentalist wackos but we do need to use our resources in a smart manner and by all means water and air must be protected. That is simply pure common sense.

You're a fool.

1. "Indeed, the benefits could be a godsend for economically ailing upstate New York. Yet Cuomo, favoring his environmentalist pals on the left, refuses to allow fracking here."
Gov. Cuomo bets against fracking New York Post

2. The socialists...er, enviromentalists.....lead the Socialist.....er, Democrat Party by the nose ring.

3. "I'm not sure what you want PC. No regulations?"
Regulations for WHAT???
You baseless fears????
" The Obamaadministration has not been able to link groundwater contamination to fracking. The Environmental Protection Agency has failed to link fracking to groundwater contamination in three separate studies and, earlier this year, the Energy Department also found that fracking is safe when done properly.

“To my knowledge, I still have not seen any evidence of fracking per se contaminating groundwater,” Energy Secretary Ernest Monizsaidin August.

Dozens of state regulators have also found no evidence of groundwater contamination from fracking operations."
Environmentalists call for national ban on fracking The Daily Caller

4. Here is an example of the sort of regulation that would be efficacious:
Computers should come with a lock-out option for people like you that can only be unlocked by getting above 90 on an IQ test

New Yorkers support the fracking ban by a 2 to 1 margin.

What's your plan to override the will of the People of New York State and overturn the ban?

Upstate NY:
"Most readers disagree with fracking ban

.... the majority of RBJ Daily Report Snap Poll respondents this week disagreed with the decision to ban high-volume hydraulic fracturing in New York.

Environmentalists and others who have opposed fracking in the gas-rich Marcellus Shale lauded the decision. By contrast, Unshackle Upstate, noting that Pennsylvania and other states nationwide are reaping “numerous economic benefits from responsible natural gas development,” described it as “a tremendous blow to the upstate economy.”

BTW....Cuomo is not only a socialist/Democrat...but he was one of most direct causes of the Democrat-caused mortgage meltdown.

You really believe that readers of the Rochester Business Journal are more representative of the people of NY than a statewide poll?

Explain yourself.

Nothing if you support anti-business agendas under the pretense of saving the environment

-Geaux
True, but the enviro movement is not only pursuing an agenda of anti-business. It is also pursing a Marxist one world government ruled by a very small elite. Surprisingly many people can't see this.

Yup.

Today I will show that socialism and environmentalism are one and the same.

So what's the non-socialist way you keep pollution and environmental destruction in check?
Ever heard of clean air act, clean water act, CERCLA, RCRA, etc........? Google them.

They're exactly the kind of government actions the OP is going mental over.
You asked a question and I answered it.

You fail to recognize my answer and raise a different issue. You do this every day on this forum.

He is limited to two modes:

Mode #1....lie

Mode #2...change the subject, obfuscate

Really, all one needs as a Liberal

As the title of the thread suggests, the motivation behind the two forms mentioned is to place all power in the hands of a dictator and his/her henchmen.

Forcing obedience is at the heart of every totalist belief....and below, you will find they sometimes admit it.

13. The folks behind the environmental movement want to control the lives of every person on earth.
To do so, they need to curtail liberty, freedom, private property and the free-market.

a. “Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class - involving high meat intake, the use of fossil fuels, electrical appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing - are not sustainable.”
Maurice Strong, opening speech at the 1992 UN Rio Earth Summit

"Maurice Strong is an admitted socialist. His sister was a Marxist. He thinks you and yours have eaten too much, used too much and now must pay. Of course like every elite socialist, that just means you, not him, or his fellow elitist.” Maurice Strong- Man Behind Agenda 21 8211 Part 2 Soldier For Liberty

14. The Leftists are so confident that they've admitted that the plan is to confiscate all private property..

. The UN Conference on Human Settlements – Vancouver Plan of Action – 1976

This conference created the baseline for the UN’s viewpoint and future actions regarding individual property rights. See pdf page 2 [document page 28] under, Land – Preamble, for their stance on private property. This position is reflected in policies being enacted across the U.S. today. Agenda 21 American Policy Center Agenda 21 American Policy Center

" Land, because of its unique nature and the crucial role it plays in human settlements, cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice;..."

This is not an acceptable world view for freedom loving Americans.

Reread the question.

I asked you what the non-socialist ways are you would keep pollution and environmental destruction in check.

I notice you don't have any.

Therefore, in lieu of no better solution, government intervention is the best answer.

On the contrary, what you 'noticed' is that I chose to activate the appropriate response to a lying low-life, what I generally do when I find a degenerate blocking my path: step over same and move on.

In other words you were incapable of elevating yourself to the level of an adult conversation.

That is one reason I like to keep you talking.

My previous post was designed to feed my curiosity about how you'd respond to being called a "...a lying low-life,... degenerate..."

And, sure enough, you took it in stride, indicating that it happens to you quite often.

Perhaps you'd consider reforming yourself in the new year.

You must be so hurt that all you could come up with is something in no way related to the post.

So....I struck a nerve.
