Republican Joe Wilson of SC called President a liar during the joint session

If they don't apply to Illegals, why is Obama using the metric of 47 million uninsured?

Except fot the fact that he kept saying 30 mil!

So what suddenly happened to the 17 million other "Americans" Obama and the Dems were talking about just yesterday morning?

Probably a few frabricated and mostly illegals! I am not denying that illegals will get covered, because they will and do. This fact pisses me off, but the classless comment was out of line!

We read all 1,000-plus pages of the health care bill and were struck by the fact that it is largely silent on health care for illegal immigrants. Keep in mind that experts estimated there were 6.8 million uninsured illegal immigrants in the United States in 2007, out of a total of 11.9 million illegal immigrants. Right now, most states have laws on the books that require hospitals to treat severely ill people who arrive at the hospital, regardless of immigration status, and we didn't see anything that would change those laws, either.

Most illegal immigrants are also now excluded from Medicaid, the government-run health care for the poor. We didn't see anything that would change that.
Have to remember, these people do not want to debate. they want to stop the President! Fortunately this clown is up for reelection and his opponents campaign funds are rising rapidly.

So, there it is, in the actual bill text, printed in black and white. FactCheck.org and several others have also debunked this rumor.

The Sunlight Foundation has been urging members of Congress to post bills online for 72 hours so they and everyone else can get a chance to read the bill so they can, you know, understand it and make informed comments before voting. We’ve done part of the work here by posting the bill for everyone to read, but while you can lead a representative to water, you cannot make him drink.

The liberal media is in an uproar over Republican Joe Wilson yelling "liar" to Obama when he said illegals would not be covered under Obamacare

Well, how did Dems react when Pres Bush wanted to reform Social Security and told the truth about it?

Obamacare Announcement:

While we are still partners with God in matters of Life and Death, due to the public outcry the Death panels will be replaced by a lottery system.

During a September 9th 2009 speech to Congress by President Obama, Wilson created controvery by calling out "You lie!" as Obama said there was no coverage for illegal immigrants in his healthcare plan. However, section 246 of the bill HR3200 is entitled "No Federal Payment for Undocumented Aliens" and states that no funds will be spent to cover illegal immigrants.

Doe this mean emergencies rooms will start denying care to illegals?

You know...callus as it sounds, I wish they would. But I know it will not happen because that would require hospitals to be immigration agents. It would require hospital doctors to go against their Hypocratic Oath (sorry if it's mispelled).

We passed Prop 187 years ago that did something like this...it was struck down as unConstitutional in Federal Court.

The difference between "legal" and "illegal"

In 2006, when the British police -- using (among other things) electronic surveillance conducted by both the U.S. and British Governments -- thwarted a Terrorist plot to blow up transcontinental airplanes over the Atlantic Ocean, right-wing polemicists everywhere claimed that this was vindication for the Bush/Cheney warrantless eavesdropping program. But there was one rather enormous problem with that claim: namely, the surveillance in question was entirely legal, conducted by obtaining warrants under the supervision of the FISA court where required by law. The disruption of that Terrorist plot thus proved exactly the opposite of what was widely claimed: namely, the extremely broad parameters of FISA easily allowed surveillance of dangerous Terrorists, and there was therefore no need to break the law as Bush officials did. But because the distinction between "legal" and "illegal" is no longer recognized when it comes to government acts, that fact eluded virtually all discussions of the British airplane plot. To prove that "legal surveillance is good" was to prove that "Bush's illegal eavesdropping was justified.

you are talking about "emergency care" we are talking about cradle to grave entitlement called "public option" two different issues altogether.

IF this is truly how you are thinking, then it is obvious you have NO FUCKING CLUE about healthcare costs and what is impacting them. You obviously did not listen to Obama's speech, nor have you done ANY homework on the subject. Please crawl back under your rock and let the adults debate this.

From the Congressional Research Service

"Under H.R. 3200, a ‘Health Insurance Exchange’ would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”

CRS also notes that “undocumented aliens” who have a “substantial presence” in the US would be required to buy health insurance (page 4) through the exchanges in HR3200. They would also become eligible for “emergency Medicaid,” although not normal Medicaid (page 6) for up to five years.

hes fucking lying
