Republicans in the House of Representatives are expected to unveil a budget plan next week for the coming fiscal year that would cut taxes, deepen spending cuts and cut the Medicaid health-insurance plan for the poor and disabled, according to lawmakers and aides familiar with the plan.

<snip>

But it would not balance the budget for 20 years at the earliest, said Republican Representative Tim Scott. That may not be fast enough for the party's more conservative members, who are planning a budget proposal of their own.

So here is the priorities, Cut taxes then cut the programs for the poor and disabled to make it even out 20 years from now. Great.

Seriously? It's like the Republicans are snatching the slingshot from David and giving it to Goliaith

if it was unconstitutional, it would have been deemed such already....but it hasn't been.....so until the courts have ruled it unconstitutional, it is constitutional.

how many suits were lost in the courts trying to deem medicaid unconstitutional?

Good news. We've found the death panels.

To make an impact you have to go after the largest areas of spending. It's really as simple as that.

Let's just face the facts jack. You demonRats will never see a cut that you would like. What you would like is to keep spending, and printing, and spending, and printing until you've run the country off into the ditch.

Are you suggesting the Republican budget plan is unconstitutional?

Yep, time to break out the "They're gonna have Grandma eating dog food, children dying in the streets, the homeless will be rounded up and used for slave labor"

Wait for it...

They're so predictable.... and laughable.

What happened to "the Democrats cut a gazillion dollars from Medicare!" ? Are you done with that now?

They did steal it, and shifted it to be spent on someone else. so what you have bassically is theft or wealth redistrubution to the tune of 950Billion dollars. so unless you apply that which was cut to a deficit you ain't cut jack.

I'm certain that cuts that involve fraud could be taken that would not affect the recipients of Medicaid....why not focus on the en mass medicaid fraud to cut the budget instead of turning a blind eye to such and going after the recipients?

Um it has been deemed so by 2 judges, and deemed ok by 2 others.

And wtf does Medicaid have to do with anything? Does Medicaid Force you to buy something from a private company or pay a fine/tax? No? Then why compare it to the part of the Health care law that 2 Judges have already deemed unconstitutional.

The ONLY WAY it is part of the healthcare LAW is that Medicare will lose FUNDING in Lieu of the new law for Fund shifting...

Exactly. The Republicans have instituted their own Death Panels a la Jan Brewer.

You mean it's so predictable, it being what will happen when the repubs cut the poor and the disabled to give their masters more tax cuts.

That's like leaving a lighter and a gas can with an Arsonist. Then say, "Time to break out the you're irresponsible for giving that gas and lighter to an arsonist routine"

:cuckoo:

He just wants to change the subject because Republicans routinly target and bully the least amongst us. Its easy to kick the little people and when Republicans have to choose...They always choose the smallest guys to kick around

No it's just that simple to say, but untrue. Unless you're using the term "impact" in a weird way.
