Planned Parenthood Files For Restraining Order Against Anti-Abortion Group

"Anti-abortion activists are already staking out our health centers, surveilling our providers, and threatening our patients," Helene Krasnoff, vice president for public policy litigation and law, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a statement. "The physicians, nurses, and clinic staff at Planned Parenthood health centers in Texas — and at abortion providers statewide — deserve to come to work without fear of harassment or frivolous lawsuits." ibid

Another manifestation of the violent, lawless right.

Because fundemtal rights shouldn't be subject to popular approval.
And they wouldn't be if all these supposed "freedom" & "liberty" screaming fanatics could just manage to keep their snooty, hypocritical noses out of everyone's bedrooms and doctor's offices.

Just to be clear, the 'right to abortion' is based on a wide interpretation of a medical right to privacy.

Many people are arguing that a right to medical privacy doesn't exist and the state can severely curtail medical privacy.

So, abortion is hardly a fundamental right.
I disagree. The right to make decisions about one's own body and health IS a fundamental right. Just as you cannot force a woman to end a pregnancy against her will, niether can you force her to carry be.

The nonsense in Texas can't stand. No country could endure the consequences of preventing women to exercise their rights.
It's as opposed to freedom as is the brand of Islam was/is in Afghanistan.
No country that has ever attempted this tyranny has ever survived it.
Unfortunately, great harm will be done before it's defeated.

best wishes from Canada.

Choice is a choice of course, but it's still murder, and we much prefer that you do the hard time after committing the hard crimes against infants and unborn children.

Some women can hate men, boys, and girls so much.

Look. Nobody is forcing you to have sex. Get off that filthy incest kick already. It's an unnatural obsession. The sister is digging in the brother's dirty laundry to fabricate a CSI-style rape kit and it isn't even his baby.
This is a lie.

Abortion is not ‘murder.’

The best analogy is comparing this nonsense to the 'dog that finally caught the car'.
The Republican party doesn't want it but they're going to get it to deal with.
Extremism catches up to the car/social responsibility.

Why not? Democratic process.
Citizens’ rights and protected liberties are not subject to popular vote:

“The very purpose of a Bill of Rights was to withdraw certain subjects from the vicissitudes of political controversy, to place them beyond the reach of majorities and officials and to establish them as legal Principles to be applied by the courts. One's right to life, liberty, and property, to free speech, a free press, freedom of worship and assembly, and other fundamental rights may not be submitted to vote; they depend on the outcome of no elections.” West Virginia Board of Education vs. Barnette (1943).

Roe v. Wade and the Supreme Court served as a safety net for Republicans – Roe would always be the law of the land, the Court would never overturn Roe.

Republicans were at liberty to rant, lie, and whine about ‘abortion,’ use it as red meat for the base, and as a wedge issue against political opponents; Republican state lawmakers could enact all manner if insane, draconian, reprehensible anti-choice laws knowing that the courts would save them from themselves.

Now that safety net is gone, and Republicans have managed to screw themselves as a consequence.

It's another experiment in extremism that America will quickly come to regret. But in the meantime women will be hurt as they turn to other solutions.
How could anybody be so cruel to force a woman to carry a baby that is the result of rape and incest?

The baby, my friend, is a human being, and an innocent human being at that. The wild claims of rape and incest do not justify the murder of an innocent child. There's a father, I suppose, there has to be, biologically, but the young woman all too often has a secret boyfriend, and an exasperating urgency to be rid of her family.

I am pro-choice but I am not so delusional to think women will flock to the left especially the ones that voted Republican in 2016 and 2020!
You don't think the doctors who perform the actual child-killing aren't cutting up and mutilating the women with all that dilatation and curettage, routine hysterectomies, do a little plastic surgery down there just for the heck of it, call it "vulvoplasty" or make up some other medical term so it sounds like you're help someone or cure someone of some disease.

The woman's right to choose takes precedence over the unborn fetus.
This nonsense in Texas won't stand. America needs to live up to it's social responsibility toward women and start working on social change that will prevent the need for abortions.

The attitude 'you' express toward women is most of the problem that can be fixed. America's way won't work, just as it won't work for many of it's social problems.

Do you really care?

Says Donald the deadbeat dad. For the rest of us, the life of a child does indeed take precedence over the transitory conveniences and pleasures of an adult lifestyle of vice.

Apparently it isn't nonsense.

Every child has a father — I wouldn't lay it all on the men — but for a man to have sex with strange women or dump his girlfriend as soon as she becomes pregnant if she won't go in for an abortion — we really can't look too much further than that beyond what the woman is capable of herself, or possibly with state assistance if these "fathers" can't or won't or don't man up and live up to their responsibilities.

Not all women are 'like that' by any means. There are plenty of nice respectable women who manage to say no to promiscuous sex without calling 911 and screaming rape and incest on their male friends and family members.

And you are unabashedly anti-American with that labor and sex work mentality.
Do you really care?
Not about you and your liberal beer-drinking buddies and loose women.

So are you saying Democrats are the new National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, Nationalsozialistische deutsche Arbeiterpartei = NSDAP?

Because clearly you have rejected the American ways of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I will say, thank you to the conservatives. You have guaranteed that women are going run, not walk, to the nearest voting booth in 2022
You make this statement as if ALL WOMEN agree with you. THEY DON'T.

Look at the women who post here. I would say the MAJORITY are pro life and they vote.

Get over yourself and quit projecting your anti-life beliefs on normal women. YOU are out of the mainstream
