Los Angeles is a disaster and so is its airport. We need to learn from Singapore.

Exactly. And Singapore does have issues. But altogether it is fair to say that a lot of things that they are doing makes them better than the USA. I know, for a fact that diversity is not the problem, because of the fact that Singapore has one of the most multi racial countries in the world, and they are the safest and cleanest country in the world.

If Singaporean people have the type of leadership we do in the USA there would be more crime and dirty roads, more pollution in Singapore.

And so that’s the problem. It’s quite obvious I think. The USA was a much greater country in the past. Even 10 years ago even five years ago we were better. This is what I often hear from Expats and folks from America, who are living abroad. They all say how the USA has changed for the worse in a relatively short period of time.

I don’t understand how the wealthiest country in the world is just the USA can’t have a Los Angeles airport that is a top 10 airport of the world. After all many people from the east will stop at Los Angeles airport as their first stop or ultimate destination. So it doesn’t make any sense that that airport is a dump and it is very poorly managed.

Because the CA govt wastes most of their revenue on “overhead”, excess, social and criminal pursuits. The land of the $100K pension “double dippers” hired back into next suburb at $350K is the norm. University communist Student programming Professors making $350K is the norm with $400K admin all over the state. All the money is to the deep state elitist scum. $500B bullet train “studies” granted to DEM donors. $100K/yr housing old inmates.

They don’t have blacks and browns !!!

The indians are dark. Not just anyone can enter. They have to prove they have money and won’t attempt to stay. You cant just jump on a plane from the Philippines and go thru customs. If poor? No Visa granted would be my guess. With US passport? Much easier to get in.

USA is getting up to 4th world level soon !!
We live in a god awful country that I am completely ashamed of due to the left

I posted pictures yesterday showing a homade tent shelter near a busy STL intersection (on the sidewalk in front of homes) that held Sudanese for over three years until the city brought in a dumpster and bobcat loader. Right on Chippewaw avenue, major cross street.

Wow 😯

Imagine professors making that much money for teaching nonsense leftwing courses. 👎

OP is 100% correct. Singapore is amazing. I’ve been to Raffles plaza, Sentosa Island, ate in food courts all around Little India, Little China, rode the Light rail all around the island. Every weekend plane loads of beautiful young asian women pour in from all over to roam the city shopping, eating at the food courts before back home on SUN night. No worries for rape or theft. They can almost leave purses on the chair to go get noodles. English is spoken well mostly anywhere I went by most?

drawbacks: Hot! Get very sweaty walking around. Sun always obscured by a fine humidity mist? Drive on wrong side of road. Costly! Not many have cars. Some stink in subway from macho Indians almost like on purpose to put out female trolling scent? Yes, girls agree that may be the case.
Yes 🙌

I went to the Mandalay Bay Sands when I was there. What an extraordinary place. The infrastructure the feel to it , the cleanliness, all near perfect I must say.

noticed the beautiful Asian women in the shopping centers just like you’re saying. I had the chance to date some of them in Thailand and Cambodia.

I hear you when it comes to the drawback.. like Thailand and Cambodia. It is a very very hot place. But I prefer that to the freezing cold weather of the Buffalo winter. Even here in Los Angeles right now it’s windy and kind of feel chilly. I thought when I arrive it would be beautiful weather, but the warm season starts in a few weeks or so here in LA?

After arriving to my hotel here in Los Angeles, I decided to take a walk …and the only restaurant in the area was at a Denny’s of course, on the way I see a few homeless people, just a really degraded feeling, and I felt that the city in infrastructure was ugly compared to the glory I saw in Singapore, and even in Bangkok.

I know there are still nice places in the USA. But we have problems in this country. It just doesn’t make sense that the Los Angeles international airport is poorly managed and very ugly. There’s no beautiful architecture there. Why is that. Well it’s because of what you’re saying they’re wasting money on nonsense. They should be putting money into making Nice public parks having a beautiful airport so when foreigners visit the USA in Los Angeles is their first stop, they could greeted with stunning architecture and sites to see. Instead, they’re gonna have to wait an hour or two further bag, they’re gonna walk through a dirty airport that has no Appealing visuals.

Hell the airport in Pnomh Penh the capital of Cambodia was much better managed compared to LAX

Many “with tenure” whatever that means? Can’t ever be fired? Poisoning youg minds at Berkley, Stanford, UCSC (Santa Cruz) for certain.
Yes they are, as they instill ideals of radical left-wing lgbt/blm values into them.

I’ve noticed though that the old school man on the street, the middle-class guy here in Los Angeles whether they are black or Latino wants nothing to do with radical left “values”. It seems like it is liberal white people who are most responsible for destroying or worsening conditions in Los Angeles. They create an environment that breeds crime.

Of note almost every worker at my hotel here is Latino or black. They’re very nice people though. At the dennys I was at seems like 90% of the customers were Latino. I’m at a hotel about a 1.5 miles away from LAX. The rye to my hotel on the airport shuttle was quite bumpy. Another thing that doesn’t make sense. Why are there potholes on the roads here in Los Angeles right by the airport. These are supposed to be the most beautiful areas of a country I think and a major city like LA the roads right by the airport should be near perfect. We want to impress foreign visitors I would think.

I suppose there are still fun things to do in Los Angeles, maybe go to Manhattan Beach,or a Dodgers game? One thing I will say though all of those billions of dollars they pumped into the new stadium for the Los Angeles Rams….. They need to use that kind of money to build up the infrastructure and improve the airport.

If your posts suddenly stop…..RIP.
I’m staying close to my hotel. But I have to say I felt uncomfortable walking around around Los Angeles going from my hotel to Denny’s last night… immediately see a few homeless folks and a feeling of decoration. Such a feeling was nonexistent in Thailand, Cambodia and Singapore. Felt safe everywhere.

If I got robbed, it would be a nice score for the robber I’ve got about 8k in cash on me…. But I wouldn’t give it up easy. 🙂

I’m at the Marriott hotel right now by the airport. I’m having a burger and fries for 25 bucks. I don’t understand how working people could afford this. That’s what one of the hotel workers was telling me …he said lot of people here are trapped economically. Their Paying $1500 for one bedroom apartment in a rough place. $2000 in a decent place.

I have read that some American hotels advise their guests to NEVER walk -- even one block. Always take a taxis/rideshare.
It is a shame and an embarrassment. But it is true what you’re saying.

These issues have to be confronted. Left wingers act like it doesn’t exist. But if they had their face clocked in, and they got robbed, they might have a different opinion. many Americans and foreigners have been robbed in this country at gunpoint. Some of them even assaulted.

I’ll always remember an Italian guy in Cambodia telling me about how he got robbed at gunpoint by a black guy in Dallas by the casino.

It is very embarrassing to hear these things as an American.

These kind of things are happening because we have economic struggles in this country, we have a government that is weak on crime. Many blacks live in impoverished areas …wasn’t like this 75 years ago when we had a better middle class for black and whites.

Our poor leadership in the USA breeds crime and filth. And they are soft on crime so we keep seeing the same people commit the same crimes over and over.

People like candycorn don’t offer up any solutions, they call people racist with no evidence to back it up. They troll and go off topic. They can’t come to the truth and admit that other countries in the world have stability and prosperity unlike in the modern USA

$25 for this. At the Marriott hotel by the LAX airport. You got to be kidding me.

For those prices, I would expect a glorious city with incredible infrastructure and a nice airport. We don’t have any of that in Los Angeles.

20$ for one cocktail at this bar in the Marriott.

When I talk to folks in Los Angeles whether they are black or white they are ashamed of what has happened to the city of how things are changing for the worse, the homelessness issues, the crime of the high prices …@candycorn act like none of this exists and engages in nasty trolling tactics in response. I really hope that people like candy corn can change for the better.

Critical case of Wannabe Expat Fever. It is very likely that the OP will not stay anywhere long enough to reach Stage II.
