A friend of mine at HQ EUCOM was a Green Beret and I found it funny that he thought Tampa Florida (when visiting HQ CENTCOM) was more dangerous than Iraq because you could get carjacked off base in the wrong hood.

Don't live in total denial dude. I don't think anybody in Tampa has ever been in great danger of getting kidnapped and then having their head cut off online.
If you walk out of the gate in Mogadishu I guarantee you'd be killed in under an hour. There are some places that cities in the US are more dangerous than, if you go to into the wrong neighborhoods. But then again the rules are different in the ME or Africa from here. I always felt I was allowed to defend myself over there, but over here not so much. I think Obama and folks like him feel the odd need to be even. We shouldn't have any advantages. Ted Turner said this the other day.
