These things happened under Bush and they put America in a financial hole that will swallow more than just the Obama presidency. Bush turned a healthy country into Japan, which has been fighting (and losing to) recessionary pressures for over a decade. [People don't understand what happens when you destroy the housing market and the financial system in one short period. The game is over. History will record the Bush years as a turning point]

Obama needs to take responsibility for his timid stimulus, which was far less than what was needed. He also needs to take responsibility for completing the Bush TARP. Rather than worrying about what the Right would do if big government intervened and put Wall Street crooks in jail, he merely bailed them out.

Obama's failure to take a stand against the corporations who own government is a mistake that can never be corrected.

Actually it was. When first proposed it was supposed to be "massive, like $600B." What ended up was over $800B. So OK not twice but still a third more.
And it flopped.
Why would twice as much have worked while 1/3 more didnt?
