Obama Budget Would Add Another $9.3 Trillion to the Debt

The little family I had was begging for food in the 70s and 80s on the res. I have lived in a socialist society... It really sucks.
The career politicians and their federal government are FUBARing this country more by the day.

Ridge Reservation... counties that make up Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota comprised the poorest of our nation's 3,143 counties. The 2000 census found them the third poorest, not because things got better on Pine Ridge, but because things got worse on two other South Dakota Indian Reservations.

Population
While the 2000 census reported a population of 15,521, a study by Colorado State University and accepted by U.S. Housing & Urban Development (HUD) estimated the population at 28,000. Tribal Government records show 38,000 enrolled members living on Pine Ridge Reservation.

Extreme Poverty
The poverty on Pine Ridge can be described in no other terms than third world. It is common to find homes overcrowded, as those with homes take in whoever needs a roof over their heads. Many homes are without running water, and without sewer.

Pine Ridge Statistics
  • Unemployment rate of 80-90%
  • Per capita income of $4,000
  • 8 Times the United States rate of diabetes
  • 5 Times the United States rate of cervical cancer
  • Twice the rate of heart disease
  • 8 Times the United States rate of Tuberculosis
  • Alcoholism rate estimated as high as 80%
  • 1 in 4 infants born with fetal alcohol syndrome or effects
  • Suicide rate more than twice the national rate
  • Teen suicide rate 4 times the national rate
  • Infant mortality is three times the national rate
  • Life expectancy on Pine Ridge is the lowest in the United States and the 2nd lowest in the Western Hemisphere. Only Haiti has a lower rate.

Amazing.....you're talking about the very thing the Democrat party is strongest on.....equality for all American citizens. The goddam Republicans work every day on schemes to funnel all the wealth to the top 1%.

Hell...all you have to do is look at the results of Republican tax cuts. It's not rocket science:

average_income_and_change_in_share_of_income.jpg
The shape the res is in, is due to progressive career politicians running the res in a socialist manner...
Only an idiot would think there is any difference in the party's in federal politics.
It's not the governments money to begin with, they no claim to any more taxes. Dumbass

All I know is that we've seen Republican administrations quadruple then double again the national debt. It's the goddam tax cuts for the wealthy......that is basically all the modern Republican party stands for. They never seem to be satisfied with any rate which costs them any of their billions:

The federal government has had no responsible behavior for at least a century, they don't deserve shit.

God damit...why don't you move if the place is that bad?
I lived my adolescence there dumbass, I have since moved on.
Socialism is a real ugly thing...

It is truly amazing. It's like the Democrats don't even care about the national debt. They just want to keep spending and spending more and more money. It's truly shocking. Baffling. Have they learned nothing from Greece, Spain, Italy? How about Weimar Germany?

All of the Republican budgets added $10 trillion to the national debt over ten years. All the debt was for tax cuts to billionaires

Why do we borrow money so that billionaires can pay less in taxes?

Actually all the debt was for the fact they spent too much. Just like the Democrats debt.

Neither is inclined to be fiscally responsible.

Oh btw....the 1% you demonize so much...pays most of the taxes. You think you haven't stolen enough of their money?

The 1% that I so demonize pay at a lower tax rate than any time in the last 75 years

Since that time, we have accumulated $18 trillion in debt and I am still waiting on my "trickle down"
It was never the federal governments money to begin with. Dumbass

You're just about the most sour asshole I've ever run into. Why don't you move??

According to your calculations we would all be goose stepping and speaking German. I might also mention putting a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth. Then.....what about the space shuttle and all the orbital flights. Republicans are soooo stupid!!
Career politicians and their federal government have no credibility...

It is what it is...

The only people that want it are:

  1. Those who seek the money and control
  2. Those who don't understand it for what it truly is... which is an insidious evil.

Your chart fails because it has 2009 spending on Bush. The vast majority of that spending in 2009 was signed by....Barrack Hussein Obama.
If by the "vast majority" of Bush's $1.47 trillion fiscal 2009 budget deficit you mean about $200 billion of it is Obama's, then you wouldn't be lying, otherwise you ARE lying.

Who signed it? And when?
Bush signed a continuing resolution in September, 2008, for the first half of FY2009.

Now ya know.
thumbsup.gif
Bush spent more than that, as you well know!

Obama’s Spending: ‘Inferno’ or Not?
  • Fiscal 2009 began Oct. 1, 2008. That was before Obama was elected, and nearly four months before he took office on Jan. 20, 2009.
  • President Bush signed the massive spending bill under which the government was operating when Obama took office. That was Sept. 30, 2008. As The Associated Press noted, it combined “a record Pentagon budget with aid for automakers and natural disaster victims, and increased health care funding for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.”
  • Bush also signed, on Oct. 3, 2008, a bank bailout bill that authorized another $700 billion to avert a looming financial collapse (though not all of that would end up being spent in fiscal 2009, and Obama later signed a measure reducing total authorized bailout spending to $475 billion).
  • On Jan. 7, 2009 — two weeks before Obama took office — the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office issued its regular budget outlook, stating: “CBO projects that the deficit this year will total $1.2 trillion.”
  • CBO attributed the rapid rise in spending to the bank bailout and the federal takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – plus rising costs for unemployment insurance and other factors driven by the collapsing economy (which shed 818,000 jobs in January alone).
  • Another factor beyond Obama’s control was an automatic 5.8 percent cost of living increase announced in October 2008 and given to Social Security beneficiaries in January 2009. It was the largest since 1982. Social Security spending alone rose $66 billion in fiscal 2009, and Medicare spending, driven by rising medical costs, rose $39 billion.
How Much Did Obama Add?
But it’s also true that Obama signed a number of appropriations bills, plus other legislation and executive orders, that raised spending for the remainder of fiscal 2009 even above the path set by Bush. By our calculations, Obama can be fairly assigned responsibility for a maximum of $203 billion in additional spending for that year.
It can be argued that the total should be lower.
Economist Daniel J. Mitchell of the libertarian CATO Institute — who once served on the Republican staff of the Senate Finance Committee — has put the figure at $140 billion.

yah, thats assuming we wont get bombed in the next ten years, democrats are for war, republicans are for peace

Oh Really, as I recall it was the former deserter-in-chief and dead-eye dick(less) started the longest war in U.S. history.

Actually, it was Congress. Presidents can't start wars.

You're welcome.

No, your wrong

There was not a formal declaration of war (not since December 1941 has there been such formal Declaration of War). The use of force was used as proposed and the RePugs followed.

The shrub and dick(less) lied this country into two undeclared wars.

And just to remind you, RePugs held the majority when the deserter-in-chief was selected by SCOUS to become President. RePugs in both the House and Senate bent over backward to give the shrub and dick(less) whatever they wanted regarding the illegal war(s) in Afghanistan and Iraq. Under the RePugs, war(s) were paid for by Continuing Resolution rather than through the budget. Kept the true cost of those wars out of the public eye and insured the American People would never find out the cost of those disasters under the shrub and dick(less).

Love you case of selective memory.......you must be one them there ConJob TeaHadist types.

RePugs were in charge....Your welcome.

Horse Shit!! Private corporations and no labor unions is exactly what has screwed the middle class in America. Average people used to get a fair shot at a decent life but now the goddamned right wingers are putting barriers in place at all corners which are designed to shift everything to the top. The sad thing is that it's working for them:

We have decades of socialist behavior by career politicians, unfunded liabilities/debt is the direct result of socialism...

God damit...why don't you move if the place is that bad?
I lived my adolescence there dumbass, I have since moved on.
Socialism is a real ugly thing...

The day they quit spending money It's OK to stop taxing folks......not before. The Republicans cutting taxes and continuing to spend is where the debt came from. I'd like to see all those arrogant bastards run their household budgets the same way. They'd be in prison.

Republicans love to waste taxpayer's money while never having a revenue stream to balance the payments made.

Just look that the failed military adventures in Afghanistan and Iraq. The cost did not matter, was never really part of the defense budget and only a Democrat put those failures in the budget did the Republicans begin bitch, whine, moan and complain.
